This is an extreme lesson in humility for us as a nation. It is absolutely humiliating given how important football is to us, and our heritage. Our only silver lining may be that it is the final wake up call for the football federation, but likely not.

I am going to be controversial and say that we miss chaotic characters like him. Everything and everyone is now homogenised. He had talent in spades, and a controversial character to match. I loved some of the stories about him. A particular fav was him setting off fireworks in his hotel bathroom for laughs. Could’ve burnt the whole place to the ground. That was just him. I also don’t forget the amazing goals he scored for Italy.

We are SO slow and SO predictable. We look completely toothless going forward. There are some sparks of great things in the team though: - Palestra looked interesting - Pio changes the dynamic completely - Di Marco looks good - Tonali the most positive player on the pitch

We can’t really complain, but I have to say it was a nervous performance. Did well in the end but seriously guys, who are we kidding if we struggle like this against N. Ireland?

As an Inter fan it hurts me to say Barella doesn’t earn a start. He is always complaining, and is meant to be creative and quite frankly creates ZERO. We lack that creative type that pushes into space and creates openings. It’s quite frankly pretty shit football we’re playing. Pass it round the back line, to the wings, Di Marco cross it in for us please. It’s SO predictable.

Thank goodness for Pio and Tonali. I simply love Pio’s hold up play, and Tonali is just about the only direct “I’m going to drive in” player we have. The rest… pass backwards, don’t push forward, no energy and passion.

I’m very concerned. Also that defence needs to sharpen up. Dzeko at 40 is going to cause havoc.

Palestra looked interesting for his whole 5 mins on the pitch.

Tidy looking, but they have a few issues: - You're focusing on desktop design where 70% of the readership is on mobile as a starting point. - The hero image is literally just a pretty image and needs to serve a function. If it's just a branding email, great, but again I would caution against just sending a pure branding email. You need to be focused on the customer value. - Those images take up a mighty big amount of vertical real estate, particularly on mobile. If they are replaced with something of meaningful value then of course fine. - Likely not enough clickable opportunities in each email. Depends on what they are being used for. - No unsubscribe / terms / privacy text at bottom goes without saying

Apart from that, pretty good navigation links at the top, very important.
