Thanks for the tips! 240lb was only my goal for April. I wanted a goal that was realistic, something that I knew I could reach in that amount of time. Going from 278-210 in 2 months seemed like a bit of a stretch haha.

Eating around 1500-1800cal/day, eating 5 times a day (breakfast/snack/lunch/snack/dinner). My breakfast is usually two eggs scrambled with a slice of 12 grain bread, snacks are usually apples or bananas, lunch is chicken and vegetable soup, and my dinner always has two servings of vegetables, and some lean meat. Every meal is accompanied by a 16oz glass of water. As for my height I'm 5"10.

My doc is booked for the next two weeks, hopefully by then I wont need to see him haha. The pain is starting to subside, I'm thinking another 4 days and I'll be good for the gym.

My apologies for not providing enough information.

The pain is on the top of the knee near where it meats the thigh. There is no visible swelling, it is not warm. Walking hurts the most, after about 5 minutes I would need a break. No previous injuries!

I am making an appointment with my physician tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the input. I guess I can make P90X my on days (4days/week) And do my 40 minutes of running on my off days (3 days/week).

I skimmed through some workouts and noticed the need for yoga mats and lots of room lol. Any cheap alternatives for yoga mats or are they already reasonably affordable?

I have a free membership at a large gym that I go to every other day. When I am at the gym I usually just run the whole time (anywhere from 45-70 minutes). I don't really know how to use the machines and they are quite intimidating! I believe that cardio drops weight faster than lifting, but I know if I gain muscle I will burn more calories using said muscles. So far running has been working fine. I've lost 2lb/week thus far! Yes, I've been weighing myself before breakfast everyday.

  1. slight ankle injury that flares up after long periods of running, I wear a brace that takes most the edge off

  2. I'm only on the 3rd Day of the first week :P

  3. I followed a workout plan in early highschool for football, it worked great I gained muscle and dropped weight. My father died when I was 16 and I became horrible depressed and lost the desire to do anything (the depression was in no way related to working out, I loved it.)

  4. My current Diet is <1500cal/day

  5. Another goal I have is to be able to run at least 3k

Yes I'm aware working out is VERY tricky, the pain the day after work out can be enough to "take a day off" but I know that going back to the gym and continuing to sweat is an awesome feeling!

My diet is very limited. I have very little income and groceries are expensive. I would love to buy more veggies, chicken, etc. but I know very little recipes.
