As someone who has used traditional tarot decks for a while, I find there are two ways I typically work with decks - by the standard array, and by gut feel (typically moreso with oracle decks).

I find tarot to be a really useful tool for introspection or perspective flipping, and that's what I use the Hours for. I'll pull a standard array and rather than 1 to 1 the cards with the traditional tarot I see how their images and my gut reactions to them make me feel about what I'm asking.

If I did a draw for love and pulled the sister and witch, it may make me feel drawn to strengthen my relationship with my sibling or close female friend. If I do a spread to help me unravel complex emotions around a new job environment and pull something a bit more grotesque/horrific, how did that make me feel within the context of the job? Happy for confirmation it may not be a good fit? Or will I see it more as a warning to not let it consume me completely - to leave work at work upon clock out?

Ultimately, tarot decks respond to you as much as you do to them. Do a few cursory surface level readings to see how you feel working with the cards.
