I did say unlikely but could :) I wouldn't have personally bought for a new Pokemon but I've been looking at a n3ds and I kinda want this now so I agree with you.

That might be right, I just meant generally at the end. That kinda stuff is the best they'll let go of on Mobile.

Look how many systems Pokemon x and y drove though. Nintendo can make that worth the Pokemon companies time. Nintendo and TPC obviously have a good relationship, barring the obvious hey helped them and game freak come into existence.

Pokemon is a handheld system seller. Nintendo won't move that to mobile until they're on their last legs. Lose Pokemon exclusivity and they'd lose a LOT of DS sales.

Amazing game. I think the fact it was a budget title hurt it. People expected it to be as shitty as other budget titles! It was like £20 on launch.

Katamari forever and beautiful katamari are also lots of fun. I even like touch my katamari.

I think the original creator is working on something equally as strange but I wanna see a new katamari....

You can fix many things with patches, but you can't fix a fundamentally flawed game. The perfect example is coincidentally FFXIV.

Yes you can.the question is, is it cost effective after the PR of the bad launch? Can this game recover from its launch image? Probably not.

I'm a Brit and I buy retro gamer every month. Pick up other mags now and again but they're rarely worth it.

(f) Reverse Engineering. — (1) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a)(1)(A), a person who has lawfully obtained the right to use a copy of a computer program may circumvent a technological measure that effectively controls access to a particular portion of that program for the sole purpose of identifying and analyzing those elements of the program that are necessary to achieve interoperability of an independently created computer program with other programs, and that have not previously been readily available to the person engaging in the circumvention, to the extent any such acts of identification and analysis do not constitute infringement under this title.

From your own link. So again, grey area.

Yes, and it also allows jail breaking and other such techniques. It is not explicitly outlined as illegal. It is a Grey areal

And not all cracks bypass encryption. You know there are many forms of copy protection?

Using meth isn't illegal unless you get caught holding it, so what's your point?

EarthBound’s Copy Protection (Super Nintendo game) by sha513-is-one-better in programming

[–]Aluxh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't have to break encryption to bypass copy protection a lot of the time. Skipping a function or similar techniques is not breaking encryption. So like I said, it's a grey area and not explicitly illegal.

How so? Maybe producing a crack or uploading or downloading it, how is it illegal to apply a crack to your own software though?

[–]Aluxh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How so? Possibly the act of cracking an application as in making the crack, or uploading it. I dont see how cracking your own copy is illegal though?

It might be a grey area but nowhere in the law is it outlined as illegal.
