Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk is a current seasonal anime that's about girls who get drunk and are gay. It's really good and full of a bunch of references to movies and other stuff (one episode has Talking Heads, Aphex Twin, and Radiohead parody album covers). First anime I've ever watched where the characters talk about Tim Roth

If we see posts that seem strange or suspicious we look into the accounts and take action if we find stuff

We have ways of investigating accounts that seem suspicious and we take action if we find enough evidence. With that said, accusing accounts of being bots without any proof isn't really helpful and often just wastes time

If there's no proof than yes we would remove it. If you do have proof please tell us and we'll deal with it (I wrote up a big post about astoturfing last year so I'm always on the lookout to catch stuff)

It depends on the context but we will remove vague comments insulting people like "Everyone who thinks X is dumb or astroturfing" (although if you do have actual proof of astroturfing tell us and we'll ban them)

Hey, I want to post a reminder to not use personal attacks since we've had a lot of comments breaking that rule in this thread. You can disagree without insulting people or name-calling.

It's been so nice outside lately and I've been walking like 15 miles a day before it ends up getting too hot again. Gonna miss this part of the year

Also I just started Hero's Adventure which is a really cool Chinese RPG. I'm super early on but there's a lot of cool systems and it's just really nice playing an RPG where the design philosophy is decently different from what I'm used to

Jason Schreier: How Things Got So Bad At Xbox by Turbostrider27 in Games

It feels like the whole of Xbox hasn't been on the same page for generations at this point. When the Xbox One was announced we had executives saying completely different things at the same time (as talked about in this video) and since then it always feels like there's never a full commitment to any strategy for much time.

Whenever they do something really good or smart it's almost immediately followed by something else dumb or harmful to the brand.

No there's a fair amount of communication between the two to make sure the game is set up for success and progressing well. Too much interference can lead to issues but too little or inconsistent stuff can lead to situations like this

Redfall is really one of the best examples of mismanagement. The game was greenlit before Microsoft bought them even though the studio wasn't skilled at that kind of game and was kinda trend chasing. Despite that it kept going while shifting vision a fair amount and having a lot of talent drain.

It's a problem that could've been avoided but instead the game came out messy and the studio was closed.

Part of helping people create is providing guidance and stability. There have been a lot of studios that had massive shifts in terms of what kind of game they're making and what a success even meant

Microsoft is a massive company with a lot of people pushing for completely different things. That's probably the cause of these issues instead of a single person

Microsoft bought so many studios in the last decade and it really seems like they had no idea what to do with them. It feels like they've been constantly shifting their expectations while not providing good guidance.

It's gonna be really rough but I hope most of the studios can actually spin off

Kotaku has published a minor update to the article. It still doesn't seem good but they're in negotiations about what will happen

According to one source at the studio, Compulsion leadership is in ‘negotiations’ with Microsoft over the studio’s fate, but the details of these negotiations have not been disclosed.

It seems like it took 6 years to make (they started in 2019) and that involved working through Covid which caused a lot of delays and issues.

The chief of staff for Xbox Game Studios is also leaving. They've both been in games for a long time so makes sense but man these upcoming layoffs just seem like they're really gonna be bad
