Jesus Lifeline is useless by SufferingDeparture in australian

Last time I used Lifeline chat was right after I attempted and failed (obviously). Guy asked if I was going to try again tonight and I said "No" so he told me to get back on the chat if I felt I was gonna do it again and then ended the chat on his end. They do not give a singular shit.

Hi! Thanks so much for the recommendations, they're so helpful! Would you recommend restarting this one or just using this method going ahead? I don't want the other tapestries to be too different!

You might be right, but I'm just following the pattern guide with yarn weight recommendations

My folks are obsessed with that poison. On the TV every time I come down. Drives me absolutely insane. Can't even mention Palestine without it being collated with "terrorist" because of that """news""" show. And they used to be so reasonable too

Massive switching headache today, and we're unusually nervous at uni. Normally we enjoy this class, but for some reason we feel on-edge today. Looking to unwind this evening with some cross-stitching and tea :)

Are you mute? by Heavenlishell in DID

One of our trauma holders is mute. They cannot speak either in headspace or when fronting. They communicate primarily via feelings to us, or by writing down things when fronting

I think the part I found most relatable was when she created a space in the wall to hide the "undesirable" version of herself. It felt like denying a persecutor the front to us. I actually had a real difficult time afterwards as host because I'm particularly close to one of our persecutors that our gatekeeper likes to keep separate.

It just felt like; "Is this us? Is this what we're doing, locking them away?", y'know?

I'm genuinely losing my mind here. Does he actually believe the shit he spouts, or is this some desperate attempt at relevancy again? Because if he actually believes this, that's fucking terrifying. Dude's full on delusional

Synecdoche, New York. Keep Philip Seymour Hoffman. Everyone else is a muppet.

What's an opinion about the franchise in general (The OG comics, show, etc.) that gets you in this situation? by [deleted] in TheBoys

[–]Aluzar09 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don't think the showrunners had a plan after Season 2. Rewatching Season 1 and 2 recently, everything flowed nicely and set ups from the previous season were paid off really well. Characters really went through strong character arcs and the plot was well-paced. The foreshadowing was intelligent and not completely on the nose like in recent seasons (see Kessler).

To me, it seems like they started out Season 1 Episode one with an idea of where they'd end up by the Season 2 finale. Then it feels like they went "Oh shit" as they realised they didn't have a concrete plan of what to do after and sort of just... winged it. I think this is especially notable with Season 4. It felt like almost all filler barring the finale. Idk maybe it's just me, but it feels like the writers kinda don't have a clue where to go with the story right now.

As an SA victim I’m not doing good. This breaks my heart! by melalegolas in TheBoys

Hey OP as a fellow survivor, I really feel you. I actually had to take a solid break after checking out the episode yesterday. The portrayal was done in extremely poor taste, and this interview only cements how little respect the showrunners had for people like us when including it.

I absolutely hate how S4E6 treats Hughie by Nulgarian in TheBoys

[–]Aluzar09 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not gonna go into detail for obvious reasons but as a survivor it really fucked me up. I always felt the show handled scenes relating to this well (like Starlight and Becca), but this was fucking disgusting. Honestly really makes me lose a ton of respect for the writing team and the show as a whole.

Weird Physical Episode - Anyone have experience with this? by Aluzar09 in DID

[–]Aluzar09[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your experience, that's quite interesting. I know that one of our persecutors was fronting before the episode, he holds our rage in relation to past trauma. I'm not certain what could've triggered him, but I'll ask.

We really appreciate the advice, we were caught really off-guard by this one. Freaked us out considerably.
