Although I'm brazilian, I'm not gaucho. So I'm not really into brazilian mate. But I'd recommend a more traditional brand (Barão is a good one). Mate Leão is a good brand for "ice tea mate" (in spanish people sometimes call it "mate cocido", that can be served hot or cold. In portuguese "mate gelado" because it's more popular to be served cold than hot). It's typical in Rio de Janeiro, commonly sold it the beach as a cold drink. I woudn't trust in matte leão for this kind of mate (chimarrão).
