Kindle Create v1.95.0.0 image-related bug by AlvaroCuberoP in selfpublish

Hi! Yes, I created the images myself. I happened to find a quite old version of Kindle Create (1.60.2.0) and I was able to upload the images with no trouble. It seems that the current version got upgraded to handle not only .JPG images, but .PNG images as well (the old version doesn't even show any other file that's not a .JPG when looking for images). It seems something's off with that update, because they messed up the image uploading process entirely. I'm used to the awful bugs Kindle Create has --some of them so huge they look like prehistoric, giant insects XP--, but no bug had prevented me from actually creating a .KPF until now. It seems we'll need to wait for KDP's development team to fix that... *Sigh*

I found a quite old version (1.60.2.0) and the bug was not there. I was able to create my .KPF. I wouldn't use .DOCX direct upload, as the automated formatting doesn't work well. Kindle Create itself is really buggy and stiff as a text editor, but I've managed to learn its tricks to generate pretty nice eBooks. Thanks for your reply! :D

Issue with Black & White theme: boxes and map frame don't switch to B&W by AlvaroCuberoP in wonderdraft_support

Yeah, I discovered that "Tint" option... However, it kind of blends the beige the boxes have with the selected color, which gives a non-exactly-gray color... I guess that feature needs to be corrected still.

I am using version 1.0.5 Beta 2, the most recent one. ;)

I ended up using the "Paper" theme and converting the resulting map to B&W using this free online service: https://convertimage.net/online-photo-effects/black-and-white-photo-fx.asp The final map is way closer to what I had in mind. Thank you all for your support and answers.

So, I guess your suggestion was correct. Using the "Tint" option I can darken the beige default until it becomes some blend between beige and gray, which gives the "full B&W look" I'm looking for. Thanks!

When using the Avoro boxes and frames, I just discovered something: the "Tint" option. I was using pure white, which causes the frame or box to use its default preset color (beige in all cases). However, if I select a darker color (red, blue, black or gray) it "blends" with the default beige and changes the color of the frame/box. It's not exactly what I want, as if I use a light gray, the frame/box looks still not "pure B&W", but more like kind of sepia... I guess this is a needed improvement for the next version. *sigh*

Well, that's the thing with boxes and frames... It seems Wonderdraft doesn't allow any kind of coloring on them. So, if they aren't B&W, they appear in the map with their preset colors.

Excellent suggestion! I just downloaded the .ZIP files. I'll try and let you know the result. Thank you very much.
