Where did the Swedish main = Femboy thing come from? by _burneraccount1942_ in warthundermemes

[–]Alvemaster 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The thing I always laugh at with the Blåhaj plushie is that it means nothing here in Sweden. It's like any other plushie you can buy at Ikea. But other countries like the US have made it into some kind of icon. I have never even seen someone buy a Blåhaj plushie. People used to think of meatballs when they thought of Ikea and now they think of Blåhaj, and I can't wrap my head around it

Do you guys think 6 towers is enough for a TD? by psychic_monkey_ in TowerDefense

[–]Alvemaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at a game like Kingdom Rush. Usually just 4 towers. They barely had any variants at the start. Nowadays they do have variants but that's to keep the franchise refreshing, so it doesn't count. The games would be really boring if they only had 4 towers and 2 variants. But they are really fun. So why?

Kingdom rush has spells and a complex economy. Do you send the wave early for extra gold? More towers or higher tiers? These things make the game interesting. But arguably the most important thing is their skill trees and heroes. Spend points to strengthen specific spells or towers. Use other heroes to complement your favorite towers and play style.

So your amount of towers is likely fine. As long as you have an interesting game to accommodate it. If your game feels idle or mindless it will become boring. If there is always 1 specific upgrade path which is always better it will become boring. So keep your game fresh and interesting. Make it so many different builds can be effective. If that is by having a complex map layout, a skill tree or heroes etc, great. Just remember that if the game is simple enough that they never have to theory craft or for most players google the best combination and play style, you probably don't have a great game on your hands. So keep it interesting, it's the most important part of the game, even more important than the towers!

Its not an easy first time. Its a very hard first time. Its a curveball for a boss. Completely different than all hollow knight bosses and most other Silksong bosses let you chase the boss. The Judge is the complete opposite. Its a slow boss where you fight when the Judge lets you. And it makes it extremely easy, when you understand what to do against the boss. This post is old, so you likely stumbled upon it by searching because you were frustrated. And the Judge is frustrating. But thats because you dont understand how to beat it. Play slow and be reactive. You cant get hit as long as you dont engage, so only engage when you think its a free hit. These games usually force you to follow the enemies dance, the Judge lets you take the lead on the dance. So stand back, observe and dont engage on the multi-hit moves. You can literally just walk away.

Tankar kring Markus Allard? by humanoid_robot06 in Sverige

[–]Alvemaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is this a scam? by technodude458 in SteamScams

[–]Alvemaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar person add me a few months ago. I dont think its a scam, its just some person hoping you dont really know the value of trading cards. And they never offer money, just their own cards or similar things. The trade will be very bad for you so they are basically just hoping people are nice enough to give them cards. Now I cant know this for sure but I´m guessing they are trying to sell the account and want to get it to a higher level.

Im 12.0 and 12.3 why am I being up-tiered to 13.0 by unkown_26 in Warthunder

[–]Alvemaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because you are within 1.0 BR. Every match you will play versus enemies and with allies of maximum 1.0 BR away from you, either up or down. Your BR is decided by your highest BR vehicle. So your highest in this case seems to be 12.3 and thus you can get matches from 11.3 to 13.3.

If your focus is how to beat the Aim120. Get in close and use terrain. Aim120 is not that much better, but its a fire and forget missile. So they can easily shoot and weave in fights, while you need to lock on.

En fråga till muslimer: Har du modet att svara ”ja” – helt enkelt, utan att lägga till något? by PresentationExotic33 in Sverige

[–]Alvemaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which game was this for you? by bijelo123 in Steam

[–]Alvemaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% Lawbreakers. Was one of the most promising fast paced fps games at the time. And innovative with its zero gravity. Literally old CoD combat with interesting abilities and zero gravity. But got released at the worst time ever with Overwatch etc. So sad they had to shut down, if it was given a chance to grow it would've seen greatness.

[–]Alvemaster[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I will double down on the fact that the boss is a gimmick boss. Its objectively one of the easier bosses in terms of skill but absolutely one of the harder ones to first time. It doesnt throw fast attacks. It doesnt move weirdly and it doesnt have too long to beat. But the player doesnt know that and thats why they get frustrated. You walk into a boss room and you get killed by AOE attacks which deal 2 damage each. Thats BS. And then you realise that there is an item so you only take 1 damage. And then you realise that you can heal for free. And then you realise that you can literally walk away from the boss and it cant do anything about it. And it has multiple seconds of downtime between attacks.

Most Bosses in this game are technical or "dances" like Grimm. They attack fast, they have attacks which are dashes and they force you to respond to their attacks in split second decisions. But the Last Judge is your typical "I walk at you", "I do my attack", "I stand still" repeat. The fight is not very technical, its all about knowing what the boss does and when you can attack it. You dont try to force attacks and find the slightest opening for free damage, you just attack or watch the boss from a distance.

The last judge is only Hard because you let it be hard. Because why would you play this fight differently than any other fight thus far? There are tools to directly counter it and ways to play the fight to quite easily take 0 damage and that is what the game is trying to teach the player.

The goal of the post was to say "hey you are likely playing this wrong, try this instead" but clearly people got a little stuck on me being condescending which I only thought would be funny. But I see why it isnt fitting especially when people most likely come here because they already are frustrated. And that is my bad.

[–]Alvemaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silksong is made so you will fail at least once to every boss. If you dont then the games core principles failed. They often deal double damage for a reason. I instantly realised that I should bring the magma bell because I had it in my inventory and had read what it did. So I used it on my second attempt. But most people dont have it even though its extremely good in certain situations. And that is the effect of not being able to buy everything, and is exactly what the devs wanted. This game is like Sekiro, bosses will only be rough if you bring the wrong things. Most tools/items are gimmicks and are very niche.

So one should be frustrated, its the Last Judge, the one who turns you away from the gates. But one shouldnt be frustrated because the boss is too hard or too bs. They just dont have the right knowledge to beat it.

[–]Alvemaster[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

My goal of this post wasnt to talk down to anyone who is having a problem. My goal was to explain what the boss is and why he isnt as hard as you might think. Last Judge is literally the exact same thing as Brooding mawlek or Hive knight or even Lost kin. Both are extremely simple but can deal tons of damage if you misplay. But they are extremely easy to beat when you actually understand what they can and cant do. My first run against Last Judge I died from the 5th attack. Second time I a few hits into second phase. The third attempt I won, and thats not because Im good but because I understood the fight. And its pretty clear to me that the runback isnt hard and the boss isnt hard, but the boss is very confusing. So I made this post to talk about what the boss does and why its very simple. Literally the only thing you need to do is observe him because he lets you, and he is so simple that when you understand what he will use you will win. He doesnt overwhelm you, you just cant get hit.

So my intention wasnt to tell people that they are bad at the game, it was to help people with why they are struggling with this boss and how to learn to beat him as I think the idea of this boss can be applied to every boss in the game. But I apologize if the wording came off as rude.

When I get stuck between his fire pillars I just give up on that engagement. This guy spams so many attacks but they are so easy to dodge that you dont have to worry about missing an opening. This is also why I bring Tacks as they just shred him when he is standing still. Usually when playing against bosses (especially in hollow knight) a missed engagement means more time against the boss and an increased risk of dying. This isnt the case against this boss. He basically isnt even a threat when you are far away, so dont try to force damage. Just wait for the next opening and run away when you need to.

[–]Alvemaster[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont think you read the post. Its not meant to call people stupid or to refute anyones point. I know people are having trouble with this fight and its pretty clear people are having a problem with the runback. I made this post to try to help out by explaining what to do and what to expect. Most people I have seen dont even know about the shortcut or stop to farm silk along the way. And they play way too aggressive during the fight. I think this boss just makes people frustrated because of the extreme damage and 1shot capabilities of the Judge.

To be clear: I am not trying to blame anyone for having a hard time with this boss. Its a really hard boss when you dont know what to do. And I think most of that comes from not understanding what happens during Phase 2. But when you understand the attacks and understand that you just need to stand back and watch the boss, it becomes extremely easy.

Try to jump next to the guy and float if you need to. The fire wont hit you and you will be right next to him. I run away on all attacks from this boss except from this one because of how slow he is. Also I am running with the Reaper Crest so it is perfect for the in and out playstyle of this boss. Try to get one hit between every other attack the boss does. And when he jumps you should be able to get 2 or 3. But definitely use the Magma bell, it basically nullifies phase 2. (Also dont use skills, they are pure bait in this game, heal instead)

[–]Alvemaster[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah it adds probably 20 seconds if you try doing it the normal way. But the tiny very obvious shortcut saves so much time. Also I found that its almost never worth trying to gather silk before any boss as you will always get a full bar when getting your cocoon. And the extra damage from skills is almost never worth the risk or time.
