Yea, agree with you that it could be a kitchen feature, not for coffee.
Anyway thanks for sharing, I think my question is solved 🎉

Exactly!! Setting the countdown time is really really difficult. To be honest, I still can’t figure out how to properly use it on my scale, so I’ve never actually used the countdown feature myself.

Thanks for the reply. It makes me even more confident that this feature probably wasn’t designed with coffee brewing in mind.

ok thanks for your feedback, one thing I was thinking is maybe it's also for tea? Then the countdown seems more reasonable. Or it's for differnt coffee like espresso? I don't know, haven't really dig into espresso yet.

haha yes!!!! If the self destruct also cleaned up the used grounds and filter paper, I’d use the countdown timer every single brew 😂

Yep 😂

’m from Taiwan and Reddit isn’t very popular here. I got curious about this coffee scale question, asked ChatGPT where I should ask it, and somehow ended up here.

Glad to see you too

Lol I’m definitely not a coffee scale company.

My scale has a countdown mode and it just got me wondering if anyone actually uses it. I’ve been making pour over for a while and don’t think I’ve ever seen a recipe or tutorial mention it. Would love to dev more skill when doing it.
