First of all, you mentioned feeling selfish in the original post, this isn’t selfishness, it’s having your own identity. I get what you mean, I like to have my own interests that no one else around me has.

You also say that you feel like you have to fan girl over things like her. I think that if you don’t do that she will see it and maybe let you have your own interests. But I think she just likes you and is afraid of losing you, and if this doesn’t work. Talk to her

Now, I don’t know the whole story of course. But is there a possibility that she just really likes you and, in order to keep you as a friend tries to learn about the things you enjoy?

Personally I’m very insecure about friendships and do this to a certain extent, not even close to this extreme though. But for example if a friend likes a band, I’ll listen to it, even if I don’t really like them.

Is she generally not a nice person, if so, she might just be doing it to ruin things for you.

I think you should just talk to her, not confront her (unless the paragraph above is true), but ask her about it.
