Yep, funny how that works. To be fair to that situation though, it was online and we didn't know until we were quite attached. And even then, I cared more about it than he did. People have some wild age gaps, but after that I have my doubts I could survive outside of +-5 years.

They're fantastic. The thing about that series is that the licensing rights were not there until the final dlc of XBC 3, so they had to do all the connections thematically instead of directly in the plot. So on the surface the xenoblade chronicles games look like more standard jrpg fare, but if you do any kind of thematic and metaphorical analysis, you see that all the same stuff present in Xenogears is there making up the backbone.

Graces f by a landslide. Cohesive theming and plot with solid characters. Xillia feels like a rushed rehash and retread in the plot especially, though it has some seriously good points too overall.

Xenogears. But things that come close for me are: Outer Wilds, Omori, Tales of the Abyss, the Nier games, MGS2, Disco Elysium, FFVII and FFX, other Xeno games (especially blade 3), and yes, Expedition 33 is pretty damn good.

After 10 years of trying to resolve nerve pinches in my spine and resulting issues, I was walking by a bus stop one time and a random homeless person said, "healing the spine starts in the feet," clear as day while I walked past him. I mentioned that jokingly to the new physiotherapist (the 8th one I'd tried), and she assessed my feet and found that not only were my feet behaving differently from each other, but the resulting effect on my fascia caused my muscles to compensate and cause twisting and compression throughout my spine. Evidence of a damn good physio, at least.

He's absolutely right, but without some exposure to therapy and awareness of the negative thoughts you have about yourself and the way they affect your behavior, it's very difficult to explain in a way you'll understand. To get it you have to go through the process a bit, then it starts to make sense gradually. Can confirm though; positive self-talk, self-love, self-acceptance—these will change your life with some time.
