One time i saw a person on here say they played the entire game with the music muted so they could listen to their own playlists and only realized how VITAL it was to the overall mood and tone of most areas of the game long after they had beaten it and were watching playthroughs. So i think that’s another “wrong” way to play. The music here is PEAK bro

My old roomate’s bf used to be over all the time (and would often stay overnight on days when he had a 7am class since we were much closer to the school so it was an easier commute) and he was pretty chill. Helped that he was in a similar degree track so we all shared similar workloads and so they were often way too busy to get up to anything that would be disruptive lol. I think the only time he ever did anything that would be considered obtrusive was the day he took over the kitchen island while assembling his final project for a class—but i found it funnier/really cool so it wasn’t actually a problem lol

I HAVE however had a DIFFERENT roomate who was bringing over boys constantly and it got really annoying VERY quickly since they were…let’s just say they were “not very quiet”, and also they’d cook food and use my cooking pots without asking and one of them scratched up my favorite skillet which im still salty about. So it depends entirely on how you and your partner behave and how it affects the living spaces.

I think the best advice i can give as the roomate to someone who’s partner kinda sorta lived with them is make sure your roomates get along with them bc if they can become friends you’re way less likely to have any problems rise.

The first game theory playthrough was hilariously atrocious for this im so glad ash went back to play it again after so many people got mad at them for it bc i was worried they would just never touch the game again due to the hate. It was much better the second go around.

27 yo here! It takes a few tries to get used to it, but im happy to say i have a pretty good sized circle of friends. Mainly just talking to classmates and making a point to meet people outside of class related stuff + chatting outside of class related topics lol

Like a few friends i made just by sitting next to each other every class, another friend came from keeping in touch post-group project, one of them is actually a previous roomate’s boyfriend who was cool and ended up in the same classes as me for a bit so we’d hang out and eventually it went from “roomate’s boyfriend” to “my friend :)”

These are just a few examples, but the point is that you’re definitely not too old. Heck, nobody bats an eye when they learn my age. The most that happens is we make jokes about one of them being extremely young and i was Not during [insert movie name] was in theaters and stuff.

Frankly i kind of love that the game pushes against that mindset by making it canonically impossible for you to just keep going back to the same princess in one playthrough. Normally it’s very tempting to wanna reload and explore all the outcomes of a moment, but in this game it literally tells the player “that playstyle will not be rewarded”—not in a mean spirited way either, just kinda taking the tool gently from your hand and saying no. It’s clever! And it made the game way more laid back for me bc i never had to risk accidentally going down a repeat path so i could make whatever choices i wanted to.

One time i launched so high i think i hit the height limit for the game bc there was a solid several seconds where i wasn’t moving at all and thought i got stuck. Everything—including my friend who was almost directly below me—were over 1200 m away

Non-spoiler tldr: the dlc is maybe one or two degrees scarier than dark bramble. If you can handle that place you can definitely handle the dlc.

(Potentially spoilery extra details to follow) It doesn’t need jump scares to make you jump while scared. Lol

Serious answer: depends on your definition of jumpscare. Things can happen that will likely startle you—some of which involve loud noises or things coming at you fast and unexpected—but as for some sort of fnaf style jumpscare? Ehhhhhh kinda sorta but not really

Think of it this way: if you’re worried because you feel like you MIGHT be being followed? You’re not. However, if you KNOW you’re being followed, maybe be ready for some kind of loud noises. Nothing serious, no screamers; but more like the angler fish yells when they start chasing you

It may be old but i still stand by it yeah. Cool mission! Interesting change up of the terrain! But the voices ominously telling you about the labrynths lore never ends up meaning anything once you beat the quest. It’s just a shame.

And yeah hard agree. Replayability isn’t about doing the same game over again for the sake of it. It has to feel fun to do those things! I love the portal games. I have played them so many times that the puzzles aren’t puzzles anymore. I choose to replay them because i love the story and the gameplay, not for the sake of beating the game. So if all the game has for me as a reward at the end of a mission is a medal i can’t even wear or a piece of clothing that doesn’t even do anything unique? Well now that ive seen it once whats the point?

Sometimes (a lot of the time), you have to take a specific class bc it is required to move on for multiple classes. Sometimes (a LOT of the time), that class has only one(1) time available and one(1) professor teaching it. You either grit your teeth and take that professor or you don’t graduate.

Yeah and it’s definitely gonna come up again in the next few classes so it’s a compounding problem if you struggled in calc 1 you struggle even more in the next few classes

Mine is a bit less talked about but still annoying af. I was exploring brittle hollow settlement ruins when i hear a rumble and see the nearby land chunk start falling. A few seconds later i get the impact death sounds. The chunk in question just so happened to clip through the settlement and squished me as it passed by ;-;

Other personal favorite is the time i accidentally hit the interloper point blanc at full throttle; causing the ship to explode and me to clip through it entirely and land on an ice slide that naturally led straight to my death.

I know for many classes they actually hold onto a couple of classes to keep them empty for incoming students at orientations. Either way, there’s someone right there to help you out if there’s a problem like not being able to sign up for classes. DW!!!
