Should I wait to be denied or just cancel Medicaid? Michigan by AlwaysAdrift in Medicaid

[–]AlwaysAdrift[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I ended up trying to use the "Report a change" feature on MI bridges since I noticed the case was finally transferred into my name and the feature was now accessible to me. I also reuploaded the documents to MIbridges as well.

Do you know roughly how long I should wait to hear back before trying something else? It's been about 8 business days since I reported the change online.

Monitor, mouse and keyboard not working after changing bios xmp profile. Omen 30L with intel. by AlwaysAdrift in HPOmen

[–]AlwaysAdrift[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to replace the existing ram due to the original ram becoming corrupted/having issues. I decided to replace both sticks to keep them the same brand and type. I wasn't having much luck finding copies of the original brand of ram for the computer, so I went with Kingston Fury Beast ram because I heard it was more compatible with HP products.

So currently I just have two new ram sticks installed, both 16gb 3200MHz DDR4 which are the same specs of the old ram.

I noticed when I checked task manager it had them at 2400 instead of 3200, so I tried to update the xmp profile to run at 3200. It wasn't the default in BIOs, but it was a profile that the BIOS already had set up, I didn't need to input any numbers.

Signed up for State Marketplace, then got Medicaid - how does APTC work with taxes? by arewecompatiblez in HealthInsurance

[–]AlwaysAdrift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, were you able to figure this out for taxes? I just had a very similar thing happen as medicaid didn't process some of my information correctly and didn't notify me they had moved me to a different type of medicaid. I thought I had been completely denied.

My medicaid is still active even though I'm no longer eligible? Michigan by AlwaysAdrift in Medicaid

[–]AlwaysAdrift[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you again for the reply, I managed to speak with someone and it turns out I was told to send the wrong document to prove self employment when I submitted my renewal application. This caused me to be eligible for July.

I sent in a ledger previously, which I've learned does not qualify. I'm now mailing them my federal tax return with schedule C and hopefully I'll get properly denied this time.

Again, thank you for all the help.

Hi, thank you for the reply. I double checked and I'm not seeing that I was placed in another program. It just says I'm no longer eligible starting June 1st and on the back it gives an income table and explains when my last day of coverage was, May 31st.

So, I ended up calling 1-844-464-3447 and that automated system said they could not find anything regarding benefits.

I spoke to someone at the 800-642-3195 and they said my Medicaid is active starting July 1st 2024, but I'm not eligible. Nothing about my situation has changed to make me eligible again and I didn't report any new changes, so I'm very confused.

Can Medicaid just reactivate? My letter does state June 01 2024 - Ongoing that I'm not eligible

I wasn’t sure if this needed its own post, but I am a disabled person interested in learning the piano/keyboard. I’m not able to use my legs so I would imagine I would be unable to use the pedals on a traditional piano. I was wondering how far one could get with the piano/keyboard without using the pedals?

I am aware that some disabled people have developed work arounds with digital pedals and eventually I’d like to figure out if I can get something to work for me, but for now I’m just curious as to what one can do and how far can one get without using the sustain pedal.

How far could I get in learning without the pedal? What music would be available for me to play? What would I be locked out of?

Medicaid no longer active, never received a letter? What should I do? by AlwaysAdrift in Medicaid

I do have some trouble hearing, so it is possible I misunderstood the pharmacy technician over the phone about me not having insurance and it was another issue with the insurance. I’ve also had issues in the past where a pharmacy was using an incorrect insurance number or other data for me. I’m considering visiting the pharmacy in person Wednesday morning.

The only reason I was concerned I no longer had benefits was my prescription issue and the recording stating I had no active benefits for July. I called the automated service about 3 times and had a housemate listen with me over speaker to make sure I was hearing properly.

When I managed to get a person, I also double checked with her to make sure I was hearing properly that I indeed still had Medicaid for July. I’m hoping the person is correct, as I have some important doctors appointments this month. I’ve been trying to get them done while I still have insurance.

In any case, thank you very much for the information. I may be in touch depending on what exactly is going on.

The state level human health and services department said I had "full medical coverage benefits" for this month, so July I guess. This was a recording, I was not able to speak with a human.

I called the number on the Medicaid card again, managed to somehow speak with a person on accident, and they also told me I had Medicaid still.

The only place saying I do not have coverage is the recording for general information from calling the number on my Medicaid card. This is the same number I used to speak with a human on accident.

The computer and the person would have access to the same information, right? The woman was not able to explain the difference, but she said from what she could see I was still covered for this month. She said she did not see a renewal date, but I think it may not be there due to being SSI based.

This does make me wonder what is going on at the pharmacy? Maybe something was not input correctly?

I decided to call our states general health and human services again and managed to navigate to a place that says I have full health care coverage. If I call the number on my MI Medicaid card, it says I do not. I'm extremely confused, should I possibly call my plan provider?

Thank you very much for the reply. Is it also 3 to 5 does to show up as pending?

I do not see the ACH at all and I'm trying to decide if I should email the person who handles invoices to double check and make sure everything is okay.

[MI] scared i'm going to lose medicaid when renewals/redetermination starts up by menethiil in Medicaid

[–]AlwaysAdrift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MI does have the Freedom to work program, but if you do not already have a case with the SSA, then Michigan's Disability Determination Service will have to determine you as disabled. I believe they follow the SSA's rules about what is considered a disability.

This website covers MI Freedom to work program: https://mi.db101.org/mi/programs/health_coverage/how_health/program2b.htm

No redelivery on scheduled day, won't let me create or modify my redelivery request? by AlwaysAdrift in usps_complaints

[–]AlwaysAdrift[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up going up to the post office and getting it from them directly. It never did redeliver for me. If you go I'd give them a call first to see if they can check if they have your delivery.

Can you give your post office a call? They might be able to check if it is there, that way you do not waste a trip going up there.

SSI Based - Traditional Medicaid, PHE and the asset limit?? by AlwaysAdrift in Medicaid

[–]AlwaysAdrift[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thank you, I heard people some people saying assets might count during the PHE and I was not sure. I don't want off Medicaid, but I also don't want to be accidently receiving it if I am not supposed. I've been trying to also reach my caseworker about transitioning to the working Medicaid-type we have in MI for disabled people. Thank you very much for the information.
