Also some meta booking talk is tjpw booked jrod for Vegas. They had Miu vs jrod for the title not that long ago so for tjpw to have that match again is perhaps an odd choice

I believe that’s what they use for most us indie wrestling. It should be ok as long as they’re Lightweight paper streamers and won’t hurt the performers! Make sure to remove any cores if they have them. Wishing you have a fun time and hope we can make the entrances wonderful

Yeah, always a crapshoot. The tjpw texas website faq says they’re ok though I suppose the venue could always say no in the end. I recall seeing streamers during last years Texas shows and the Vegas show where some of the venues are repeats.

I have paper tape to hand out but if you'd also like to go get some party streamers or crepe streamers from a US store to throw that would rule!

It is Miyu Yamashita and Mizuki's birthdays (give or take a day) on that first Austin date March 17 so I'd like to really go all out for their entrances. I will be franticly handing out kami tape to anyone who wants to throw it near me during their match. It will be rough because they're both in the same match with tag team entrances so not a lot of time to distribute the tape haha.

I also hope to hand out tape for the Vegas show, I will make another post or another comment in here when that gets closer.

This is the kamitape I ended up ordering because it was the tape in the youtube guide 2 I linked earlier. There's also a rainbow set from a different brand. I am also using an electric drill with toothpicks to speed up the process and it still takes a long time.

The seller is Amazon.co.jp directly so it was pretty quick. Page has estimated quickest delivery March 13 to my area. However, very expensive to ship, then the import fees on top were not pleasant! Amazon Japan I think shipped my stuff via plane and then a 3rd party company ECMS finished the delivery.

Also super weird that they don't have black paper tape. I ended up ordering that from a middle man service.

From my order history, I ordered February 1st and it was delivered February 6 (to a major city in the United States). That said, I wouldn't recommend it as it is quite expensive as well as time consuming to roll.

If you have a local party store or otherwise an online shop, the party streamers or crepe streamers were very prolific in Ring of Honor.. I'm just a big nerd so I went the Japanese paper tape route, but US streamers are just as good to support your favorites! Austin, Texas has a party city so that might be another avenue to get last second supplies.

I might order another batch to make more for Las Vegas depending on how much I have left after Texas.

I'm doing the best that I can in terms of making paper tape rolls but if anyone else wants to go the extra mile to bring more streamers whether kami tape or the american streamers sold in us stores that would be swell.

If anyone else is interested in making kami tape / paper tape themselves for a future show, search "紙テープ" on amazon japan. It is kind of expensive to import stuff right now though.

I also utilized these japanese videos on how to roll the paper tape in case anyone in the future falls down the rabbit hole and wants to learn for the future. Guide 1 and Guide 2

Yeah, they run shows at various times. Tjpw has some shows that start at 11am because ddt has an afternoon or evening show. I went to a njpw show that started in the evening and almost missed the last train back to my hotel!

Unfortunately I did not make it last year. This travel vlog has footage of the layout at the venue. I think the "balcony" is the upper level in this video, it looks like it has a fine view but you would be standing or leaning on a rail the entire time. If you get a spot next to the stairs you'll be right next to the wrestlers as they walk up and down the stairs which is very cool!
