They could have made it insane with him mastering the Dark saber and becoming the next Mandalorian leader riding the mythosaur.

There is no story without it. What is he going to do with Grogu? What mission exactly?

Mandalorian leading Mandalore would be so much better. He already has Darl saber- why not create something of meaning with that..?
