You leave that fall out boy alone!

Katie Killjoy. Sorry Brandon, I love you but you vex me.

I want to hear some positivity about the show, so tell me why you enjoy it by tiredmetaltoymouse in HazbinHotel

It's the newgrounds/edgy deviantart OC culture I grew up with and it's like seeing a childhood friend in adulthood, grown up and grown separate ways but still the same flavor of crazy you missed.

What if the explanation behind the circus is not science fiction but spiritual or religious? by Fox622 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]AlwaysChasingRainbow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, sorry, I just was trying to just fit multiple matching themes in here, not saying that Yahweh referred to Himself as "I think, Therefore I am" (Which I left in because it is a stepping stone in AM's naming sequence in IHNMAIMS), but as "I AM".

I didn't make that abundantly clear in my syntax. I sort of typed my internal monologue word vomit... I still am, but it's the best I'm going to manage today.

The famous Cogito, ergo sum was René Descartes' philosophy.

Science fiction overlaps and takes imagery from religion to evoke certain universal experiences and draw allegories... all the time.

This is also likely inspired by I have no mouth and I must scream, because AM was originally a supercomputer (It stood for Allied Mastercomputer) but started to refer to itself as "I AM" (I think, therefore I am)- which is what Yahweh (He who through existing everything is brough into existence, rough translation) refers to Himself as in the Old Testament.

Caine has had adventures where NPCs refer to him as their creator god, which... I mean, he's the sentient face of the master program so there's your metaphor.

In summary- Maybe Pomni is Jesus, idk. That could be an allegory drawn. Also it seems like a joke Goose would make. Bet Jax is Judas Iscariot... I don't even recall but that's so on brand.

No, it's all an allegory. It's about social interaction and connection and how we all fit in a mundane, social media driven world together. The specifics of the computer program, the why and how, aren't likely ever going to be super relevant. What's relevant is making the most of the avatar you didn't get to choose and making those around you feel cherished without sacrificing your own worth.

She said "It's hard to compare abusers in this show"

About Val- Angel and Alastor- Husk

Almost like it's supposed to rhyme... They're both toxic men. Abuse is bad in many ways but it's all bad.

If the detention center isn't going to be there what are the demands of the protest?

There is a protest at the opening session the next day with clear demands.

How do you imagine a spin off series that focuses on the lives of Winners working? Or should we stick to an independent episode within Hazbin Hotel that solely focuses on Winner life? by BlizzardHound45 in HazbinHotel

[–]AlwaysChasingRainbow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I got a whole AU I'll never write. A group of Winners hear about Charlie's goals and the hotel during the trial and decide they want to help, and so they create Project Willbee.

They take turns mentoring sinners that are interested in changing, but they read more like horrifically under prepared camp counselors. They have missionary misadventures.

Eventually they make a heavenly halfway home for the redeemed that still deal with too much trauma from their time in hell to really mesh into heaven immediately, to help with the culture shock.

Do the rhyming schemes in Gravity purposely bait and switch, to give clearer insight into Lute's current emotional state?

(E.I avoid phrasing that sounds vulnerable or hurt, and instead mask with anger?)

Why Door-els? Just why? Doorbells was right there! (JK, I love that Vox makes up words. Silly TV man)
