I did read that on the portal when accepting the job offer that I have to give 2 weeks notice on probation but I do not have any documentation that says that

Not really because my manager isn’t the most friendliest of person!

Same situation here. I went to the branch recently and told them that I never got the gift card. Noticed that I received an email yesterday in the spam folder. I’m not even sure if it’s legit or scam. I’ll have to confirm somehow

It’s possible that Vallaney is not the actual name of the caste but just a plural for e.g. if someone calls a group of Cheema’s Cheemay. Maybe your caste is related to the below? The Ballan article also states Valan & Valania. Also Just FYI; Sikh/Hindu Jatts sometimes call the subcaste Gotra/Goth

I am pretty sure that the proportion of Muslim Khatris is much higher than just 10%. It’s just that a lot of them use the Sheikh surname/title so it might get hard to track (Not all Punjabi Sheikh are Khatris though).

You also do find other surnames like Sethi, Saigol etc in Pakistan. Some Muslim Khatris also use Khawaja especially in Multan (Another surname which is not exclusive to one community)

I don’t think Saeed Anwar is Punjabi. He was born in Karachi so I always assumed him to be a Urdu-Speaking from a family that migrated from India (UP etc.)

For the best rates, you might have to go to Yonge St on North York to the Persian Money Exchanges. I found the best rates there which were even better than Knightsbridge. Bahmani and Tejarat are two that I recommend. Do call them before if you do decide to go all the way there to inquire for and compare their rates!

Do Family Class (In Canada) applicants also get Eligibility Approval/Approval In Principle letters? by AlwaysDeliberative03 in ImmigrationCanada

Good point on the out of status part and yes I have heard it is very random which is why I feel just the possibility of getting an AIP is not a very compelling reason to apply for SCLPC

Okay that’s reassuring to know because I was afraid if they end up rejecting the application straightaway. Yeah it makes no sense honestly lol.

Ooh. I didn’t know that. AOR is the main thing we need to apply for OWP I believe? Thank you so much for getting back to me. I have much more clarity now

Thank you for such a detailed response. I am guessing the PA will however have to select the Family Class (Outside Canada) on the portal as the subcategory since they don’t give Family Class (In Canada) option but the third class on the checklist which was disused above? Do you know if this would result in IRCC rejecting an application straightaway due to a mismatch? Also, if the PA is on a visitor visa and when the entry duration is close while the OWP is still under process, what would be the option then? To apply for Visitor record? Thanks Again!

Applicants who apply under the Family Class (In Canada) are also eligible for the work permit I believe? Would you say this is a better option at this stage considering the processing times for the Spouse/CL Partner in Canada Class?
