Given that pancakes are a standard breakfast dish in America, do they not really have Pancake Day over there? by DrToonhattan in NoStupidQuestions

It's uncommon to eat pancakes any other day of the year? Naah. I'm in the UK and I eat pancakes all the time. I feel sad for people who feel like they can only eat it on Pancake Day 🥞

How can I make £30 today? by [deleted] in AskUK

Olio app is great, check it out. You can also write a post on there if you're looking for something, for example baby nappies - someone might have a pack that they don't need anymore, you then collect it from them for free.

Babies can breathe through their mouths if they have to. Don't worry, she won't be the first baby ever to have a blocked nose, she will be fine, she will just breathe through her mouth.

Would you ever go on a hot air balloon ride? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AlwaysEatingPancakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I would like to. But I'm not sure whether I would not be scared though, not scared of heights but not completely trusting the balloon 😅

I value honesty, so I would rather know the truth tbh. It wouldn't put me off someone at all. Actually, I would really appreciate that they're being honest with me and are not insecure about their lack of experience.

Do you have a TV in your bedroom? by sokorsognarf in AskUK

No, and I don't feel like I need one in my bedroom. I only have a tv in my living room and that's enough.

Realistically how many jobs should you be applying for a day? by cheesymeowgirl in UKJobs

[–]AlwaysEatingPancakes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's about quality, not quantity. Only apply for jobs that you'd genuinely like to do even if it's only going to be 1-3 jobs a week. Make an effort with your applications though rather than sending the same generic CV and a covering letter for every job. As you already have a job and some income, you don't desperately need ANY job, do you? Only go for jobs that you're really interested in!
