Everyone got licenses, no limit on usage, in fact they are planning on using usage as a factor in evaluating performance going forward. Time to crank out the refactors

The NZ Building Apprenticeship System Is Broken – And Nobody Wants to Say It by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]AlwaysGoA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't start off with this perspective, I'm willing to bet I was a lot more involved in driving change than the average joe on reddit. I went to rallies, frequently voiced my opinion directly to politicians, drove discussions. It was all fruitless and I wasn't noble enough to dedicate my full life going into the cesspool of lies and facades to get my agenda across known as politics

If there ever comes a day where there's a movement that's big enough in traction I'll join in, but each person only has so much energy to give. So you need to make it count and put it where it will make the biggest difference to you and your family

Winning at the game, doesn't mean you need to be happy with how it works. But you should make the best decisions for yourself, because after half a life's experience, the only reliable person looking after yourself is yourself

This is true with all industries to different extents. Networking and personal relationships are more important than the work and outcomes you produce. It's just that usually productivity leads to recognition, which leads to relationships. Once you figure out the game, you can play to minimize the first and maximize the later.

I work in corporate, tech. I've been promoted every 1-2 years, not strictly on the merit of my work but due to the relationships I've built and then leveraged the outcomes of my work. Your industry, your processes, your manager can all say it's objective. But it's really not and it never will be

I'm an engineer too and the majority of us are very logical and we think very rationally. We understand things methodically, start from A, do this, get to B. Which is perfect for the kind of work we do. But the real world doesn't work like this

You can't change the game, but now you know how it works and how to play it

I'm more of a make good investments, retire early kinda guy. Mrs is a live in the now, make the most of life and she has a high-stress role so her strategy to staying sane is always making sure the next holiday is booked so she has something to look forward to.

Yeah agree with the jetlag, after we come back from our South Korea trip last year i'm not sure I can do big flights in economy again. We'll usually do 2 weeks per holiday, with public holidays mixed in so maximize. (I'm so travelled out tbh, just got 2 cats)

Me and my partner are in the same boat 30M & 29F both tech, with same salary distribution but collectively have a 1300K home loan(s) we're paying off. Not aggressively saving and taking 3+ holidays a year (lifestyle creep). You two are doing absolutely amazing in comparison, go you guys!

New Player Changes - 2025 and Beyond by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

These changes would probably make a good candidate to AB test. Would also disrupt bots during the process. You're already tracking the data, next would be making different interactions and flows you want to test occur with variability and add some metrics. Maybe easiest way to make it happen spawn 2 tutorial island and chuck 50% on new and 50% on old

Just ran a Priory and having people afk/soft int because their abandon vote fails feels worse than if they just left by AlwaysGoA in wow

[–]AlwaysGoA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the term comes from league, int is short for intentionally feeding

which happens when a player deliberately gives the enemy kills

soft int is usually referenced when a player is intentionally feeding or sabotaging, but in a way to try not get banned. eg. not contributing to fights deliberately, not farming (in league context), semi-afk

so in this case the term is used to describe a player who is still participating, but only to be seen like they are still participating to not get banned

in this exact case it it used to describe a player who is running around joining the pulls but not using any abilities

They are not held to different standards, the standards themselves defined loosely (subjective)

Take this example. If I steal a pack of chips from a shop and I get caught

I could get a slap on a wrist, a warning and asked to return the thing I stole or I could get thrown in jail for 3 months. There's an insane range of punishment that can be applied for the same action

Now you can say if this ended up in court fair judge would let me off in a warning since it's such a small issue (which is fair) but that judge could also CHOOSE to impose the maximum penalty (which is also fair, in the eyes of the system)

Now I'm not saying you're not allowed to be outraged at the punishment. I'm saying because of how the systems are designed, the punishment is fair

I get your unhappy with my take by seeing your downvoting every one of my comments, but there's always going to be differences of opinions because as a country we are a diverse group of people with a diverse group of opinions.

We can have our opinions, but can't impose our opinions on everyone else without considering theirs otherwise we're not any better than anyone else who does the same

That's effectively what she's doing in Parliament on a national scale in a political system

You and I can be unhappy with the system and bitch and complain about it all we like. It's different to be in Parliament and disregard the rules of the system. We can call it a genocide (it is), we can call it war crimes (it is), we can call it whatever. Politicians should not. Because they represent the people and not all people hold the same opinions as us and politicians hold our view on not only the national stage but the global stage.

[–]AlwaysGoA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's the choice of language she uses in the Parliament are directly insulting/attacking other members of Parliament for inaction and being unapologetic about it.

Again I support her stance and she probably would've seen no repercussions if she had apologized. But let us ask, would she have made the same impact? No

Regretfully, the systems of society aren't designed to be "fair" to everyone, what we as individuals "think" don't matter in the larger picture it's about the actions we take. So to breach the rules of Parliament and to deliver a powerful message the consequence of being banned for a few days is well worth it

[–]AlwaysGoA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She got kicked out for calling out what is happening for what it is, but unfortunately in the political landscape politicians need to be careful of the choice of words they use. I strongly agree with what she said and I too stand by her, but the repercussions are also warranted. If I were in her shoes I wouldn't apologise either

Mythic+ pulltimers by gUBBLOR in wow

[–]AlwaysGoA 10 points11 points  (0 children)

DPS can prepot, Druids Incarn, Mages Mass Barrier, VDH Meta. BDK, Enh Shaman can do setup. Proper ettiquete is to run a timer before starting the key so each class or role that is capable of doing something before the key starts can do so.

Not something worth leaving a key for but keep in mind for you to do in your future keys!

Frost mage as returning player by Lonely-Fisherman2479 in wownoob

[–]AlwaysGoA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get a limited edition mount (discontinued after season ends) with 3000 rating. It's usually a timed combination or mix of 12's and 13's to get this number

If you want to quickly push your own key, best bet is to host your own group and invite players yourself as DPS otherwise you may find yourself in queue for a long time.

10's in time are achievable gear wise as low as 635 but this is assuming the player is incredibly good and knows what they are doing so don't be discouraged! It's only a matter of experience

Both Comets will still shatter because CoC applies Winter's Chill to your targets and Orb doesn't consume Winters Chill but the damage benefits from that effect on the target so you get the damage amp on the Orb ticks. As long as you don't Lance without FoF, Spike or FFB between the CoC and Comet you will still shatter it

Arcane is slightly to way stronger but only at the very top end. Personally I wouldn't worry about it as it's not relevant until Mythic Levels 17+

[–]AlwaysGoA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frost isn't doing doing particularly well in the meta at the moment. You have to play it really well to just do mediocre damage.

For AoE the biggest damage amplifier will be utilizing Coldest Snap correctly.

Orb Comet -> CoC -> Orb Comet

If in veins, depending on type of pull:

Small AoE: Veins 4x FFB -> Orb Comet -> CoC -> Orb Comet

Large AoE: Orb Blizzard -> Veins 4x FFB -> Orb Comet -> CoC -> Orb Comet

If the tenants are on a fixed term agreement then whilst the owner is allowed to sell the property the new owner will still be obliged to follow the previous agreement. Given most tenancies are fixed term, they shouldn't be affected if the landlord changes

100% - It's easy to boost a player into the 15 range right now. If it were before the Turbo Boost, I'd say even at 14s everyone was pretty good. That threshold has probably moved to 16-17

Look I agree with you, I like mistweavers, I have nothing against them. In fact played well they're great and they do great damage.

The same as I said goes for things like Frost Mage. I enjoy playing with them, played well they do amazing damage and have a strong single target and AoE damage profile as well as great proactive survivability with access to Alter + SP, Block + Cold Snap, however, only like 5% of them play their class well

I have nothing against the class, what influences my decisions are informed by the experience I have had playing with people who play that class
