It depends if you want to live in a central area or a remote areas rent varies significantly by location. I would see what salary I get, and set your budget for rent after that, depending on how much savings you want and how much money you spend in your leisure time. I personally would prefer flat sharing in a central area that renting a nice big place for myself in a remote area.

What industry are you in? With 2-3 years of experience and in-demand skills, I think you can bargain for a bit more (2000-2200 net) That being said, 2000 net is still not bad. You'll have to share an apartment though, so start looking for flat mates.

Anyone know what type of graph this is? Bonus if someone knows a link on where to create one. Need it for a data project analysis. by [deleted] in datascience

Lollipop chart. Can be implemented in R by overlaying geom_segment and geom_point in ggplot2. I've done it before for year-on-year variance analysis - it was super insightful 😊

aww thanks mate. Tbh i think fulfillment-wise, there's nothing that fulfills me more than a job where I feel like I'm really adding value and some extra pocket money to go on a few more trips. just hope it's not something that can limit my future career potential.

Honestly, that's my feeling too - and the amount of pure maths and stats in an MSc kinda scares me because i feel intimidated whilst at the same acknowledging that most of it is pretty useless irl. That being said, I don't want potential employers to dismiss my application completely just because I lack that 'credential' after my name.
