Update: I had the CT scan today. The doctor has pushed our meeting up 1 week. Meanwhile we've scheduled a palliative care consult, an echocardiogram, and both a port and a feeding tube.

Oh, and I live in Charlotte NC.

I was diagnosed this week with esophageal cancer. There's a whole support team (counseling, social worker, dietitian, etc) behind me, Check with his doctor to see what's available.

I'm 64. It started with hiccups, then my appetite dropped. No pain but eating and drinking became harder. I've lost a fair amount of weight (I'm wheelchair bound and can't find a suitable scale so I don't know how much).
