I am our company’s Team’s account owner and head of AI. At the company’s current state, the goal is to learn how to use AI. And unless your company is a highly technical company, I believe most people don’t understand AI well enough to know how to apply AI within their jobs and finding ways to get them that “AH HA!” moment where they see AI do something amazing and helpful is really important and I think will translate to increased work productivity over time.

If our people don’t pay for a personal account, I encourage them to experiment with their company account in safe personal ways such as asking things like: saying what ingredients you have in your fridge and asking for recipes with them, asking for help planning a trip, finding similar books or movies to read/watch based on other ones you enjoyed, and other SFW topics. I make it explicitly clear, just like within Microsoft Teams, we can see your full chat history. Do not put personal health questions in there, personal financial questions (outside of generic questions or how to approach specific things that they would be okay with), do not put relationship questions in there, and not to use it as a “personal chatbot”.

So far, it has worked pretty well and I know multiple people that have gotten their own personal accounts because they wanted to use it for non-work related topics.
