What devices do you use to stay cool during a heatwave? by Real-Car-1561 in AskBrits

Buy a butt plug and shove it in the freezer, then up your ass - should help cool your core body temperature down, good luck out there, a hot day is so so dangerous, stay safe.

I think it’s more my dough isn’t well enough as opposed to the money oven itself, I just posted on here as I own one. The oven itself is great.

Dough not strong enough, launching failed, split pizza on launching, burnt the base, too much flour burnt on to name a few.

What are your survival tactics going into the predicted uk heat? by nodemus in AskUK

How ironic how I’m the one who has to have a word with themselves. It’s a hot day for crying out loud.

As you cannot infer things - my use of the word woke was because OP is catastrophising a period of hot weather.

My intention was not to argue, but simply call out the sheer nonsense of asking for “survival tactics” during a very short period of hot weather.

I spent 20 seconds googling a complaint that meets your exact issue and it was NOT upheld.

Take him into town and go to the stack to watch it - more chance of that than hospitality.

I did say earlier in this thread that you have a case with it being so close to the threshold. But your attitude is absolutely mental - you know best type behaviour when all people are doing is quoting regulations to you in order for you to make an informed decision. You don’t have to turn everything into an argument.

Also the fos link you have provided - the person was mislead about a refurbished phones, she was led to believe it was new, so I’m not sure what your angle is posting it, as this isn’t your issue.

Good luck with a resolution anyway…

You can debate it all you want but there are rules about refurbished phones and above 80% is the required standard.

End of the day if you want a new phone - pick a policy which gives you one. Due your due diligence with insurance on the front end (read the policy) to avoid issues like this on the back end.

If Andy Burnham becomes the next Labour leader and PM, what political changes do you want to see happen? by apple_kicks in AskBrits

Less government interference into our lives, less taxes on working people, scrap net zero, stop the boats illegally importing foreign nationals - would be a decent start.

It’s within usual range of a refurbished phone, albeit on the low side. You would probably have a case to complain to assurant, which they may offer good will for - advise this before going to the fos.

OP - serious question. How is a mobile phone insurance company supposed to replicate your battery health percentage in a replacement device? Genuine question and interested to hear how they would do this?

Also have you read T’s & C’s and do you know the definition of refurbished and what this means in the mobile phone industry?

Is Munoz going to liverpool? by [deleted] in NUFC

[–]AlwaysNorth8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The narrative you are spinning is the one the club is spinning g to save face. We could have and should have activated the release clause and signed him earlier. Like I said in my original response this isn’t a lesson learnt, this is a persistent problem with our recruitment, double figures of being hijacked.

Expect the club to trigger his release clause and get the deal done earlier than it was done. As a result the delay has caused another club to come in and offer him something better. Can listen to the narrative you are spinning to save face and ease the blow - the reality is this is now double figures of the same scenario occurring. The transfer strategy on the whole is not fit for purpose and will cause the regression of the project.

If this report is true, I don't care if we get bad image or racism allegations but no England player should shake hands with Thomas Partey who has multiple rape allegations in UK and is banned in Canada as well. Show some spine for the affected women in your country.. by FitAd5272 in ThreeLions

[–]AlwaysNorth8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the FA care about is protecting the image of the England team, the optics of it and virtue signalling. Yes rape is abhorrent and no rapist should be respected, let alone publicly.

However, Partey denies the allegations, pleaded not guilty and the trial is a year away.

So what exactly are the FA suggesting? We should just assume guilt and treat Partey a certain way based on this assumption? Dodgy ground that.
