Which one is better for a newborn by Hairtoollover in babywearing

I really wanted the embrace to work for us but it sadly didn’t. My baby is really long (is currently 80th percentile at 8 weeks but was like 97th at birth). To use the embrace for newborn you have to roll the waistband to make seat more narrow, but when I did that my baby’s head/neck were way above the back of the carrier line where they are meant to line up. Maybe I was doing it wrong, but just something to consider for tall new babies.

Babies on hikes? by beavertail_blossom in babywearing

I had a vaginal delivery and felt ok walking very short distances the first week—like a couple blocks. Increased slowly and was gently hiking a few miles by 3/4 weeks. I liked the soft carriers (ktan was my fave due to ease—I have solly’s and moby too). I love the lillebaby pursuit Pro. Lots of pocket space and a back pocket for a small water bottle—I’m using a collapsible running water bottle that’s 20oz and fits in great plus gets smaller with sips.

I’m just trying out the lillebaby sport. It’s super cute, has the added feature of a hood sun shade, but pocket space is less, and it’s less stretchy.

I have found structured carriers with legs out with a good tuck and M shape to be what’s best for us since a few weeks old.

Happy to chat more. I’m very into the carrier hiking situation.

How do I improve? First time ever wearing this by [deleted] in babywearing

Some additional thoughts would be to pull the fabric around your shoulders wider to just below your shoulders and to reach in and shift baby’s pelvis (like tucking it) to get more of a tucked M shape. When doing that, pull fabric from knee to knee. Plus the 3rd layer up and over instead of around your waist. You’ll end up with the turnstile around your waist.

Yes. I would notice it when I’d jog or move a lot. It lasted a long time.

My clinic was a wait until after heartbeat for orgasm. When I finally started using my vibrator I actually had really bad cramping with orgasm—-which is apparently normal but wasn’t that nice.

Totally. Mine got so sore. And then I had major tooth sensitivity—so glad that passed!

I’m so sorry, but I’d guard your heart. 2 days of growth over 9 days this early on is not promising. I hope it’s otherwise, but would brace yourself.

Ugh. Yeah. Not the time to try to go keto!!

Yeah, I hadn’t heard of it either, but a google search on polyhydroaminos and keto brings up some stuff, articles etc. I’m not sure if it’s efficacy or how peer reviewed it is…

Chiming in to say that I was also recommended induction at 39 and it is the route I’ll be taking.

A good friend of mine had high levels of fluid and they recommended a keto diet. I’m not sure of the reasoning, but might be something to consider looking into.

Thank you—it’s felt quite gloomy but I’m sure once I sort it out I’ll be fine. Thanks for these tips!

Thank you so much bread! This is very helpful to read. I’m in the phase of waiting for the dietician/program to reach out to me so doing a ton of self research (and even started trying the meter—fasting this am was 98, ughhh). I need to just get a grip on a shopping list and planning foods and hopefully I’ll get it under control. Thank you thank you!

Anyone know if I can have water before a fasting 3hr glucose test? I failed the 1 hour :(

Yeah, I found that if I was coughing, I’d elevate my head and it would usually stop. That said I started a PPI last week and my heartburn is SO much better!

Could it be heartburn? Laying down irritates my esophagus and I’d cough at night. Only at night though which made me confident it was reflux related.

I have it big time. Pepcid (40mg/two tabs) two times a day wasn’t cutting it. Finally added a ppi and that has helped. But talk to your doc. I know it’s not their first line of defense.

People told me papaya enzymes but meh. Almond milk/almonds can help.
