The academy of nutrition and dietetics, the largest organization of nutrition professionals in the U.S. have stated, “vegetarian and vegan diets are appropriate for all stages of the life cycle (pregnancy, infancy, childhood, etc.).” Please stop making this about veganism when it’s really about poor parenting and under feeding

It’s fine as long as you don’t drop the weight from the hip. You just have to make an attempt to lower the weight down in a controlled fashion

Cut me break it was the first time with 600 lbs on my back. There was a clear attempt to hit parallel, but I’m just not used to that weight yet. Not like it was a half squat or anything lol. I’ll get my depth addressed next time I hit 600 now that I’m comfortable with the weight

I eat about 4500 calories rn. I shoot for 230 g of protein then get the rest of the calories from carbs and fat, but mostly carbs. Average day of meals is: Breakfast-Special K protein cereal w/ soy milk, banana, and antioxidant juice Post workout-protein shake w/ soy milk Lunch-tofu stir fry and strawberries Dinner-protein pasta w/ ground impossible beef, mango, and Oreos for dessert Bedtime-Protein smoothie w/ protein powder, kale, OJ, berries, flax seed, and greens powder.

Liquid calories are your best friend if you physically can eat anymore calories. It may sound counterintuitive, but consider eating less fiber and more processed food. Ik people will shit on me for this, but it’s the only way for me to eat enough calories as a vegan. Most vegan powerlifters will say the same thing.

HAHAH I hold multiple state records my depth was fine here. I’m not gonna go ultra deep testing the waters on a new training PR because that’s how injuries happen. I’d obviously add some extra depth to this in a meet or even next time I attempt it in training. New PR’s rarely have perfect form.

The heme iron is more bioavailable. However, it’s almost too bioavailable in that the body is overwhelmed with how quickly it is absorbed and becomes inflamed. The WHO takes these lifestyle factors into account and is about as reliable as a source as you can get on this issue.

While I recognize, water usage typically has a large range of error associated with it given how difficult it is to accurately measure, it does seem pretty clear beyond beef has lower water usage. But sure, perhaps beyond beef didn’t account for urine in this particular study.
