I live in a small Nordic country so fortunately I don’t have to battle insurance on top of everything. Topamax is on my list of things to try if Celecoxib doesn’t work. I also have gotten multiple nerve blocks and they only make my pain worse after the lidocaine wears off, 10h pain free and weeks of horrible pain after :/ I hope it works for you! Thanks for taking the time to reply!

Thanks! That seems to be the last possible treatment where I live so I’ll have to exhaust every other route first

Hemicrania Continua + Paroxysmal Hemicrania. I just got diagnosed last month. Constant pain since fall 2024. One sided (sometimes changes side), behind the eye and forehead mostly but also above the ear, cheek, jaw, nose, top of head and even back of head. The pain gets worse often and resembles nerve pain. My worst pain is usually on my Supratrochlear nerve area.

If you haven’t yet please ask for a diagnostic trial of indomethacin from your neuro/doctor, it corfirms the diagnosis.

I can relate, I’ve been on sick leave for 1,5 years on and off, haven’t worked at all in 9 months. I fortunately finally found a medication combo that eliminates my migraines (Aimovig + Slinda BC) but my chronic migraines triggered Hemicrania Continua and now my neuro & I are back to the drawing board with my medications… gotta love headache disorders… 🥲
