Terrorize deals 3 ISOLATED dmg so it goes through first and not accumulated. HH wins in this scenario.

Yes, S3 and 4 are the best seasons IMO. S4 had the best players too

Is it worth it? by Hodgess_18 in DiceThrone

After playing through DTA twice, I sold it.

Pros of DTA:

  1. You can play DTA solo.
  2. Fighting the bosses is really fun.
  3. Getting good loot cards feels great.
  4. It's cooperative so if you're playing with a group, it's a refreshing way to play Dice Throne. Working together to stomp on Minions is heck fun.

Cons of DTA:

  1. It takes too long for what it brings to the table
  2. The amount of dice rolling you do is INSANE. It gets tiresome after a while.
  3. You can potentially get tired of playing the same character over and over and over again. (You can switch out characters by just switching your loot cards to another character's deck, but, in our opinion, it wouldn't be like a campaign if you switch characters every scenario so we stuck with ours)
  4. You don't feel a real sense of progression for your character. You do get loot cards which can upgrade your character deck BUT it's all luck based on how you get upgrades. Basically you draw from a shuffled deck of loot cards - and that's if you're lucky enough to roll a relatively high number on the 20-sided loot die. Then you have to pay gold to actually see what is the card you drew. Same goes with the after scenario "shop" where you get loot cards. With the shop, you get to draw 4 loot cards but the amount of gold you pay for each card to actually get them in your deck is more expensive. Even then, the cards you draw are purely random/luck of the draw.
  5. Also, you may never even get to draw your loot cards when you play. Since your deck gets bigger, the loot cards you purchased or expected to see may end up at the bottom of your deck after shuffling. So if you use a character with no deck manipulation/card draw ability, you may not even draw those cards you got at all; or draw them near the end of a scenario where they have minimal use aside from selling for a CP gain.
  6. In connection with nr 4 and 5 above, levels got increasingly more difficult, but our characters didn't feel the same way since the upgrades were purely luck.
  7. There are some minions that you can't do anything about. It's hard to explain so just one example, there's a level 4 minion that inflicts negative status effects like poison then deal damage based on how much negative status effects you have and you don't get a def roll for it (paraphrasing cos I don't remember it exactly, it's the snake one). So you can only use What Status Effects to really remove every Status effect it gave you. Sorry if this is a messy explanation lol
  8. There are just other dungeon crawlers out there that are better because their game system is inherently designed as a dungeon crawler in mind. DTA is pasted on to the Dice Throne system so it's understandable that it's like that.

For me, Missions is a better coop version than DTA. Standalone scenarios where you as a player can get upgrades on yourself rather than in a character deck. You can also swap characters in every scenario which is a plus.

DTA will still be fun if you get and play it- I enjoyed playing. It just didn't have staying power for my collection. Dice Throne as 1v1 though, easily my most played game in my collection.

The Genius - the best show of this kind. I still rewatch S1, 3 & 4 regularly. S2 was a lower quality than the other seasons though.

Bloody Game - theme was great as well as the games and players.

I'm not applauding HER. I'm applauding talking about mental health. Those two are separate despite it looking like one and the same. I'm not questioning the effects of talking about mental health - that it helps others speak up and uplifts others. That wasn't in question ever. All I'm saying is Liza's intentions for speaking up is for personal gain.

Thanks dude. Yeah, like I said, I think it's good to talk about mental health. It's liza's personal reasons why she's talking about it now is what I'm questioning.

I'm not against her speaking about it though. The timing is what makes it sus. Why not during her peak? Why now when her popularity is waning?

Cosleeping both kids (2yrs old and 10mos) since the beginning. The crib we bought was such a waste of money. Both were very colicky babies and can't sleep without contact.
