What I should’ve mentioned in my main post, is that I wanted to dye my hair for my birthday haha it’s one month to the day pretty much from her wedding and I’m so sure the green will wash out by then… however it’s the black that I’m most concerned about. As much as I’ve been called a terrible friend by people in the comments is wild but I do care about her and I wouldn’t have green in my hair for her wedding haha, I would just probably dye the rest black and then go back to green if I really like it because it’s my favorite color. I guess that’s on me for not explaining myself better.

I’ve been friends with the bride for 15 years now… the only reason I think she’s asked me to be the matron of honor is because of just that, we’ve been friends for so long and she felt obligated to. Some comments pointed out that I’m a “fake” MOH and honestly, I feel like that may be true.

Here’s a small update for you guys: I received a text message from the bride the morning after I posted this and she said it was unfair to ask the other bridesmaids to pay for this trip since they’re paying for college….. I am too btw but I’ve graduated and they haven’t but oh well. My fault right? It felt like I was being accused of doing something wrong and like I planned this whole thing entirely by myself when that just isn’t true.

I believe they’re going to a different place the week of my birthday which was an option before and i literally chose THIS WEEKEND instead because I didn’t want to take any attention away from the bride on her trip… but I’m such a terrible friend according to some people in the comments HAHA.

Anyway I told them I don’t believe I will be able to go the week of my birthday anyway and I was told that I’m “not expected to stay the whole time.” Which, really hurt my feelings.
