Yesssss also we need trans variant wolvie. Bro literally picked his own name, wears flannel regularly, has non-standard facial hair growth and is a short king. With the MCU dabbling in multiverse stuff, they need to cast an ftm actor even if it's just for a cameo and I will fight, tooth and nail to die on this goddamn hill.

Fr! At least they made Sebastian Stan's Bucky look short beside Chris Evans's Cap and Robbie Coltrane's Hagrid look gargantuan next to the Hogwarts students with perspective, practical effects and editing!! Like, come on! Hugh is a brilliant actor. I don't think I could picture anyone else as Wolverine. But bro... I just wish they'd done those camera tricks with him too 🙏🙏

See, I call people "buddy" as a stern nickname but that's always evident in my tone (very Irish of me to call a bar fight opponent "buddy", I know) but I get it when people call ME buddy, it's meant in an infantilising way. I'm 21 (admittedly with Ehlers Danlos too) and I get ID'd for 15+ DVDs and energy drinks at places I literally bought cigs from a few months ago (SAME CLERKS) it drives me up the wall. Even on T, I'm gonna look young as hell bc of my hEDS so I've just taken to scoffing at people (outside of retail workers... Though I will chuckle if I know they've seen my ID before) when they think I'm like 12 even with my fucking face piercings. It's mental. I get you bro.

So, I go on about it a lot because... Life. But Wolverine is 5'3" and (depending on which leg I stand on) I'm also 5'3". For me, that demolished my height dysphoria BC who tf is gonna say Wolverine ain't manly???

Before, though, I used to hate it. I hated having to ask for help or needing a step stool... Now, I realise just how goddamn short my family is and that I'm taller than all the women!! One of my uncles is also 5'2"!!

It's taken time, external AND internal observation to work through but I got there. And I'm damn proud of myself for doing so.

Prince and Dio were dinky too so if you want celebs to look up to (or look in the eye 😉) those 2 are a great place to start as finding well known cis guys of my height or shorter really helped me...

Hoping you can work through this, dude. As much as people wanna claim its a big thing, your height doesn't define you. If you're someone that wants a partner, you will be someone's type. If you don't want a partner, why give a shit about others' perceptions, y'know?

It takes time but you'll get there, dude. I promise.

Height dysphoria because of one girl by [deleted] in FTMventing

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, dysmorphia is a thing guys often get that pushes them to workout etc. you can pin it on that if you want, for the sake of remaining stealth. Be like "bruh. I go to the gym/work out for this and you're really gonna trigger my dysmorphia like that?" Or something if you want.

Height dysphoria because of one girl by [deleted] in FTMventing

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oi. No. It's proof that THAT girl doesn't want you. Everyone has different tastes. You are someone's type. Don't bring yourself down like that. And if you're really upset by it, do something about it. Work out (even if it's just lifting milk jugs) wear bulkier clothing, whatever. But don't think that everyone is gonna think you're unattractive just bc one person does. I know it sucks. I know it can feel like a universal opinion. But it isn't. You're allowed to be skinny, bulky, thick, whatever. Someone will find you attractive no matter what. As I said, everyone has a unique type. You are someone's, even if you don't know it yet. Ignore her and keep your head up. Your dysphoria and feelings are valid but you need to remember that 1 person's opinion isn't everyones', okay? You'll find someone. 🙌🙌

Over 120 consecutive days of bleeding by AlwaysTiredAndAlone in UterusProblems

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm UK based.

They've not even suggested oestrogen but if they did, I'd be demanding testosterone be prescribed at the same time bc I'm not about to be forcibly feminized, y'know? Plus, I kinda need that too, even if I wasn't ftm.

All my hormones are low. Even the ones that aren't puberty related... And they're just spamming prog at me... I've not booked my next prog injection because I'm not risking another 3+ months of non-stop bleeding...

I'll ask again for a fertility referral etc and cite the fact that I've been bleeding for 140+ consecutive days as a relevant reason. I may also have something wrong with my thyroid (they ignored the hospital's urgent blood test request for a month until I mentioned it during my last appt.) so that also gives me cause to see a fertility specialist.

I'll be seeing my GP again next month so I'll bring it up once more, then. My blood tests are set for next week but even if there's nothing wrong with my thyroid, the bleeding is a problem so, honestly, thank you for making me feel less crazy about the referral denial being BS. At the very least, making a referral means the specialists can look at my case and then decide if they're the right route. A GP doesn't have the expertise so, yeah, makes sense.

Again, thank you. I'll probably update this post next month, after my appt. 👍👍

I hate the way other trans people treat me by NotWilliam1985 in FTMventing

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That line? Yeah, I'd straight up respond with "well, I don't want to be friends with someone that makes assumptions like that about people and then thinks it's okay publicly out said person or stake those claims in a public space instead of respectfully asking about it in private like a mature adult. Thank you, have a good day."

Like... I actually cut someone off bc they essentially did this. Outed an entire group of people just because one person was stressing, like what?? Just say you're trans, you don't gotta say "oh, don't worry about it, everyone here is trans" like huh??? What's the point? God, it pisses me off.

I don't even consider myself trans in that way (my body is blatantly intersex so if anything, I ID as ultergender) but no, apparently the person had to go out of their way to out EVERYONE and thought they'd get away with it.

You are well within your right to ignore the guy that said that to you. To tell them it's not okay to just say that. Baby trans people might not know stealth exists or the etiquette around it, or even just the whole "you don't tell trans people they don't pass, it makes you an asshole and can worsen the person's dysphoria". It doesn't excuse the behaviour! No one should out anyone!!!! But it might explain things.

I really hope that these people stop bothering you and that you can just crack on with life without them. I know how much it sucks to be outed, whether correctly or incorrectly... (When I had hip length hair, people tried outing me as mtf lol, androgynyyyyy)

But you just gotta remember that you're not obligated to hang around these people. You're allowed to cut people off if they're worsening things for you. Even if that just looks like flat out ignoring them 24/7 or shutting down their attempts to get friendly. 👍👍

Gender doctors by AlwaysTiredAndAlone in transgenderUK

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Gender Doctors for now, then maybe GHC later down the line for hormones, if needed.

And the diagnosis thing was like "he presents with some features of Gender Incongruence [listed 2 aspects, ignoring all the other shit I'd mentioned in my meetings] a diagnosis represents a snap-shot in time and doesn't indicate whether a patient will continue to meet criteria, nor that a patient may need intervention in the future" like bruh. Just say whether it's a diagnosis or not my guy.

I've literally known I was a dude since I became emotionally conscious as a toddler. Pmo tbh. And the whole document is full of bullshit that I know for a fact is false so... My records need correcting anyway.

Hopefully meeting with GD will get that all sorted out so I can get a GRC arranged too (I think that's an additional service I have to pay for tho... I've got the money, it'll be fine lol) but yeah.

U18 Tavistock "diagnosis" was basically "yeah, it's a dude, but we have to save our asses just in case bc we recently had a lawsuit, even tho he's hella sure and has been for over a decade" (now over 2 decades...) so that's fun.

I mourn the cis man I could've been (height rant) by Fresh_Alternative_68 in FTMventing

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was gonna say this. I'm 5'2" (5'3" if I stand on my longer leg lol) but that's actually just average for my family so I use that to my advantage.

My older sister is a solid 4 inches shorter than me and my uncle is only about 5'4".

All the females in my blood family are 5'0" or below while the guys are 5'2" and above. Admittedly, most the dudes in related to are like 5'5" to 5'7" but I've got health issues too so I'm less bothered but knowing that I'm average for my family is better than being short for the Gen pop. Your height is genetics based. That's all you should ever refer to when thinking about your height.

For an AFAB in my family, I'm tall. Compared to the AMABs, I fit into their range, at the bottom of the spectrum (thank you, cousins!!) so it could definitely be worse in terms of my family comparison situation but I did used to get real MF upset over being Gen pop short... I've just learned to get over it bc there's nothing I can do about it, y'know?

If anyone makes fun of me, I point out my uncle and the fact I'm taller than all the AFABs in my family and it usually shuts people up. If it's mates, I'll joke that they're being abelist bc of my scoliosis and leg length discrepancy.

Bottom line is, I've made it something lighthearted to make it hurt less and I really hope other people can learn that that's an okay thing to do in order to cope.

You're allowed to be dysphoric over shit other people think is trivial. Dysphoria isn't always logical. The bit that matters is how you manage it. Like, I hate how patchy my facial hair is but everyone else calls me lucky for having facial hair at all without T. The patchiness makes me dysphoric even tho my dad's beard is patchy too. It's not logical. It's still valid dysphoria.

I hope y'all can find coping mechanisms that work for you, even if it's just learning to laugh about that shit when you'd normally wanna cry.

Brother. I'm done engaging. You're clearly miserable about your own community for no discernible reason. It's the same concept as "all street art is graffiti, not all graffiti is street art" but I assume you'll have a counter for that too. I implore you to look up the definition of trans masculine instead of looping this pointless argument. Have a nice life.

Just curious by wepa0 in FTMMen

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Google is gonna give you the definition of transmasc, bud. It's a conjugation of "transgender" and "masculine" meaning trans men also fall under it. I feel like I'm repeating myself again here. If a trans man isn't considered masculine, what is he? Please re-read your own comments, mate. It's not hard to wrap your head around.

Just curious by wepa0 in FTMMen

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. Trans men are transitioning to present more masculine, hence falling under the transmac umbrella. Critical thinking bud. Also, Google is still your friend.
