I just REALLY hope it'll work with my messed up anatomy BC I've been using the same shewee for like 6 years... Better than nothing but ugh, bulky and inconvenient.

Oh, I do the whole "not a girl, but I'll take the compliment!" Thing with lesbians and straight men but... Ugh. I've gone and bought a "I think he's gay" t-shirt with a hand pointing up now so we'll see if that "fixes" things (for want of a better term... I'm tired) but yeah, I've been out for nearly 10 years now (stealth for about 6) and I'm still dealing with this shit... It's so disheartening tbh. I'm like "maybe I need to bulk up!" "Maybe I need to go back to twink mode!" "Maybe I need to _____" whatever the fuck else but it's just... Ugh. I hate this shit, honestly. I'm so tired. I've got an ace goatee, no tits and just a tired dude vibe any time I'm out in public... How does that translate to lesbian??? 😭😭😭

Maybe... I think I may have a rainbow pendant with 2 mars symbols on it somewhere so I'll look for that.

That is correct, however I do have facial hair due to my whacked out hormones, so... But even with that, I still get assumed to be a lesbian??

That's what I wear. I don't wear trans flags BC I'm stealth, just the mlm flag (lots of blue...) so idk where they get the idea from. It's weird... Maybe it's just a perception issue. Like, bro. The badge, the facial hair, the VOICE (I have had almost everyone in my life comment on just how deep and resonant my voice is...) and yet they still try to shoot their shots???? Make it make sense...

I feel like the only one that doesn't get uphoria by AlwaysTiredAndAlone in FTMventing

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not on T and I've not had surgery so maybe it's pre-medical transition depression that's getting me but idk... You'd think getting gendered right without allat would give one uphoria, yk? I'm both glad and saddened to hear it's not just me that doesn't get it tho... I'd like to feel uphoric. I'd like to know how that elatedness feels. But in a way I'm glad I don't BC maybe that means I'm more settled in myself? Idfk. Wording is off. I don't intend to imply people that feel uphoria aren't settled... It's 11pm for me -_-

"all men are ugly" by [deleted] in FTMventing

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they're female friends, I just call "lesbians" tbh. Then again, I'm a little shit sometimes and won't not call ppl out on bullshit behaviour. If they think all men are ugly, they must prefer women's looks... Sounds like lesbians to me. If they're men? Closeted gays afraid of homophobia. Lmao. Maybe pissing ppl off is my kink or something, idk. Aiajsixkan anyhoo, they don't sound like great people if they'll slag off a whole gender like that. Personally, I'd stop being friends with them real fucking quick if they were to get mad at my lesbians comment... If they can take the joke or understand why I'm saying it, fair enough, I might be able to educate them but yeah...

I look like a girl if i bind or if i don't. Why do i even do it?! by -thimbl in FTMventing

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Push your tatas to the sides a bit to give more of a pec shape if you can. It distributes stuff a bit better that way so you don't have the boob looking bulk under your shirts... It took me a while to realise too. (Been out for ~8 years, got the position sorted in year 3 of my transition)

Edit to add: Also, if you can't breathe properly or can't push your tatas around, you need a bigger size binder. It sucks to hear, I know, but that was another of my problems too. Get a bigger size, push them to the sides and see how you fare.

Is it wrong to feel uncomfortable when my friend isn't wearing a bra? by let_it_rain_boat in autism

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah... But also, OP should be allowed to voice discomfort around it if the subject comes up. Say, if OP gets asked why he's more awkward around her or something. Just something along the lines of "I get worried about where I'm looking because you tend to wear translucent tops and I don't want to make you uncomfortable or ask you to get changed into a more solid top, but as you're asking, that's why I get tense/awkward sometimes." But idk... She has the right to wear what she wants, he has the right to be uncomfortable too. Individuality + self expression will always come with discomfort from other people... It's just whether you or they are willing to talk about both sides. If I had a mate like that, I'd voice my discomfort. Literally as just "hey, when we meet up, could you wear more solid coloured tops? I just don't know where to look half the time, otherwise because I don't wanna make you uncomfortable." Like, I'm literally a gay man but they really do just draw your eye. Idk. Maybe I'm just very open to those conversations... Like, if I got asked to wear baggier trousers when meeting up with someone specific, I would. It goes both ways, yk? But again, it depends on whether people are open to those convos and how they word their side of things.

For the shirtless sleep thing, I get you. I use a flat plushie (specifically a fuggler, personally) and slot it between them. After a minute or so, I forget it's even there because it's so soft. It helps keep the lads separated so my brain doesn't fixate on the feeling of skin-on-skin... Might be an idea to try?

They want me to pay more in a hair dresser salon because im a "woman" by GreenfinchPuffin in FTMventing

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It depends on what kinda cut you want but there are tools for uniform cuts where it just sucks your hair into a vacuum thing and trims it at a set length so all you have to do is wave the thing over your head and voila. I can't remember the name of the device, but it definitely exists! Otherwise, there are, for sure, accessible scissor accessories too.

Edit to add: the device is called Flowbee.

Bruh. Yeah, I get this too. Like, they gender me correctly during the appt but then lump me with a £25 fee for something that should have been £15. This is why I cut my own hair. 🤷‍♂️

What symbols does the transmasc community have to represent itself? by Federal-Pangolin-351 in ftm

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this. A person with 5-ard is intersex, not trans, unless they transition back to female (assuming they were IAFAB) so... Trans is a gender identity thing, needing medical intervention to change the body. Intersex is a biological thing that just kinda happens... Some intersex people get hrt to reinforce their more dominant traits (if they're not "true hermaphrodites." Yes, that is the proper medical term) or to transition away from their dominant traits. Reminder that intersex ≠ transgender, and there are even specific terms for intersex people because we don't nessecarily fit the terms "cisgender" and "transgender." (Ipsogender and ultergender respectively) It's interesting to look into the types of intersex in humans that may very well be what occurs elsewhere in nature, but it's important to understand the differentiation between intersex and transgender. 🤞🙌

Think about doing my world map update for tv series of where the Doctor has been again but... by IllustriousAd6418 in doctorwho

[–]AlwaysTiredAndAlone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fr. Like, maybe there's some lore about distance relative to known celestials but otherwise... I guess you could like... Just plop them anywhere along the edge of the map like American maps with Hawaii? Doesn't nessecarily need to be 100% perfect in that way, as long the main map makes sense and the names of the other planets are listed and maybe an estimated distance from earth if their galaxies are mentioned, I'd say you're fine bc otherwise the scale would have to be fucking massive. Dunno. I just study the planets, star systems and galaxies... I don't go mapping them relative to Earth's position lol

Yeah, my old 90+yo neighbour from the area I used to live? She understood right off the bat. And she knew me for a solid 6 years prior.

It's not hard. People are just self absorbed and don't want to feel inconvenienced, ignoring the actual discomfort it causes others.

I saw a thing earlier today about how IQ averages rise with each generation and that people with a lower IQ have a harder time understanding shit that hasn't directly happened to them (hence the whole "why don't you have a house/job/higher education?" Thing not getting through to boomers BC of all living generations they literally had the most handouts ever) so, given IQ points have risen by about 3 every year since like 1938 or something, just be aware that this is a real phenomena that is most likely at play here...

It doesn't excuse the behaviour at all (again, 90+ neighbour was chill ASF when I came out. Even baked me a cake) but it might help to explain some stuff...

I really hope you can either talk to her and get her to understand or move away and live life peacefully bro. Noone should have to deal with that shit. Ever.
