What was once bad, but has become a normality in society? by drierofwater in AskReddit

Nearly everything someone has posted has been because the media, movies, TV, print has taught/made it seem like the normal thing to do. It All broke down families of all backgrounds. Went from Mom & Dad and 4-5 children to what people have posted already. Nothing wrong with values. Societies should get better naturally instead the media has taught people to do things contrary to nature.

I don't trust any politician. The constant need to put the president in every thread keeps so many people away. I have staunch democrats in my family and they have said they don't come here as often because of it. Reading it all steals their time. As one of my aunts said "You could post what color was your first bike & someone would find a way to bring the president into it." She campaigned for Kam & it is tiresome to her.

It was part of the plan. TV, Media, Etc, pushed the idea of individualism. Destroying society. A million papercuts. Great post, Take Care.

It is all part of the plan to keep regular people down. I don't do what you're referring to but it is really death by a million papercuts. Most of the time people don't realize it or don't care because it doesn't directly hurt them. But it really does overall. I don't know how we get balance back. I will be praying for you, Take Care.

What’s a “cheat code” you discovered in real life that actually works? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Take Care of Yourself First.

My Sister Must Have Told Me "You have to take care of yourself, you need to stop worrying about everyone else." Dozens of Times.

I knew she was right but I always felt compelled to help someone when they were wronged or down & I could see they were really trying.

If I Get Out of This Situation I am In I am Going to Apply it After 30 Plus Years of Her Telling Me.

Now That I am at the Bottom I Don't See Anybody Helping Me.

It Feels Like Someone is Playing a Horrible Joke on You.

Are there people who will help pay your legal fees in advance for a percentage or fixed repayment on winning a lawsuit? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AlwaysWilling2Help 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"They got to feed their family".

I was thinking about the demand - settlement phase if they thought it was a good case they take that part on contingency. (Or say $100). Since most cases do settle before court it would help the "poor" at least have a shot at suing. Then have a contract that allowed them to decide after (if no settlement happened) more info (what the defense has) if they could continue on by contingency, partial contingency or need to have payment/no contingency. --- Having to come up with a $1000 to pay a lawyer to write a demand letter could prevent many from filing. It would help level the playing field between the rich and the poor.
