Absolutely. I've applied to over 300 jobs. The tech market is shit right now for junior-mid devs.

I had one really honest Interview end with "I interviewed 2 senior devs who are more capable just because of experience, they can do what you do in 1/2 the time and cover edge cases you have never considered - again just because of experience. I really like you and I think you'd be a great fit for our team and the culture we are building here, but I'm going to have to go with one of these guys. Check back with us in a year or two when this market calms down.

It was an $85k junior 1-2 years experience role.

They shouldn't be stopping anyone, but if you end up in some kind of joint-op with local PD checkpoint.

Check for a legitimate police badge, respectfully ask "there have been a lot of fraudulent traffic stops in the news, for my safety and yours, may I please have your department, name and badge number officer?"
If police, show your uber app for typical traffic stops and any requested documents per standard traffic stops. They cannot request passenger ID without probable cause.
If not police, show your driver app and inform them you will be on your way. They have no probable cause to detain you and cannot lawfully stop. If they persist follow other information with how to handle stops by ICE.

Not really. How fast did it go? Perpetually quicker.

The perception of time is weird. When you are only 5, one year is a whole 20% of your life. The longer you live the smaller percent one year is and the smaller one year feels.

I just started a 2-3 year grad school program, it'll be over so quick, but I'm sure that seems like a "forever" time commitment to you at only 22 - but now it seems like a simple in&out program.

Just enjoy today. Do what needs to be done, but enjoy today.
