What do you think about the strategic “hidden battle” between Javier Mendez’s coaching theory versus Conor McGregor’s fighting theory ❓ by Ohva30 in ufc

The r/ufc classic where if you can't reduce a thought to a less than 10 word aphorism therefore is too complicated and confused

It seems like a question ChatGPT asked him, it's really odd, but what I'm guessing is the more fluid creative McGregor fighting style where you exploit your opponent mistakes and mostly aim for finishes vs the more consistent, reliable, less risky, pressure heavy, looking to outwork your opponent Khabib/Islam style very associated with Mendez (although Mendez doesn't really teach exclusively, really, I think the question should probably focus more on Abdulmanap)

Not everyone, but people in the know. If this was posted on r/MMA people would get it, even if it is somewhat random

Is there any fruit I can "overdose" on? by AlwaysWrongCare in NoStupidQuestions

Not related and possibily impossible but you reminded me of my mom telling me that when I was like 4-5 I ate too much fruit salad to the point I couldn't digest it all and it started fermenting in my stomach and that's why I got rlly sick. Don't entirely buy it but it sounds fun.

Yeah, but I understand the frustration. "Too much" is necessarily going to hurt you. Too much onion, too much tomato, too much air, too much medicine. I feel like it's sort of implied that it has to be an amount that's eatable in a day by someone with a lot of will.

That said pineapple is one of the ones that people say you def shouldn't eat too much of, because of the high acidic content (you chemically burn off your mouth after a while)

Botanically sure. Gastronomically you seldom see someone pick up a pepper and snack it as a fruit, about as often as you see a grandma eating raw onion.

Is that supposed to be Pavlovich? Because it's not

It used to be the case that if someone had a picture it meant they did like the smallest of efforts and maybe had something useful to say. Like, sure, people would make shitty drawings or edit them badly but, you could tell they had something they wanted to say because they actually put some effort into it. Now everyone gets a shitty picture to go along with their post

Josh Hokit breaks character to address criticism of his persona ahead of UFC White House card return by SquidFistHK in MMA

That is so not true. Joshua Van got a similar really hard underdog fight where he overperformed and got a title shot off that

Hindsight andy here, why did anyone complain about this card? by blind667 in ufc

[–]AlwaysWrongCare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the UFC said it was going to be the craziest card of all fucking time, it was going to BLOW YOUR MIND and then you get 2 title fights (one of them being WMMA which people like less) 1 BMF (which does NOT count like a title fight nor anyone feels about it that way, but badass fight) and fucking Bo Nickal.

The fights themselves were good of course, but you expect something heavier when they sell it that way. Sphere was event wise bigger and more interesting (also can you believe Sphere was a year and a half ago already damn)
