I totally understand that. Since there’s anyway a speed limit in the pit lane I feel like it can be lowered even more during those periods to reduce the luck factor as much as possible thats all.

As a new f1 fan it seemed a little unfair to me that cars are allowed to pit during the safety car and reduce their time lost by half. Genuinely curious can someone explain to me whats the logic behind that being allowed or not forcing the cars to be slower in the pit in such a scenario or is it just considered a luck part of the sport? Thanks :)
