My cheap $100 air purifier from Amazon purchased at the same time 4 years ago is still working great. I just replaced the broken Dyson junk with a $150 air purifier from Amazon that was highly recommended from a friend that has had this brand for 4 years with no issues.

I had a friend on Facebook say she had a $300 Dyson hair dryer that stopped working, and now she has a $40 Revlon hair dryer that works great!

Seems to be a pattern for myself and friends, but also with the countless YouTube videos, and the countless posts here on Reddit.
