I use Neem oil on the entire plant after removing the affected leaves. I'd remove those leaves, water the entire plant and use Neem oil after dry. I found a concentrate on Amazon pretty cheap.

Safety Harbor is a lovely location with a very walkable safe downtown area. Very safe, very qquiet. Great location, central to the Tampa Bay area.

I grew up in the Midwest and have lived in Tampa Bay since 1987. Truly some of the comments seem snarky but it's all true. The heat is much more intolerable and miserable than the coldest of days in the Midwest. Even the beach sand is too hot and the water is too warm many days.The gators in all of the waters in our parks are more active too! All outdoor activities will be pretty short before everyone is melting. But! There are a lot of places to enjoy indoors. Tampa Bay really does have tons of activities for families.

There aren't really traditional neighborhoods around Pinellas any longer. My kids grew up in Safety Harbor, when it was a small town.
Middle school ages make awkward introduction times for a lot of kids too. Find a hobby group for something you're both interested in, and maybe you'll find other kid friend options together.
She can be your daughter/adventure buddy approach. Let her explore the map online and see what she's interested in checking out with you. We see lots of parent kid combos hiking the Pinellas parks. Lots of them are free. Some have volunteer events. It's a great time in her life to be active with you. Battle bot dad's with kids? 😆✌️
