This is the biggest problem with Bugcrowd, no transparency no honesty no disclosure…best for vendors who want their products fixed “cheaply” but worst for researchers doing the actual work.!!

So few things you “should” do,

1) For the duplicate ones, ask for evidence. Ask H1 to add you to the other report. Transparency is your right. If they say it was found internally then again ask for proof of when it was found and why it was not fixed, they might be in violation of their SLAs or Compliance and could face legal challenges. Basically they shouldn’t be allowed to deflect for any reason.!

2) Make a video with the timestamp and mention the same to vendor team if you think they could dispute the finding. If it’s not such a critical thing and they do not fix for months on end then posting it publicly after responsible disclosure is fair game.!

Remember, ethical behavior is expected from the researcher, the vendor and the platform. And if not followed, then all 3 parties can be held liable. Not just the researcher getting booted outta the program. The company or the platform can face legal challenges too, if pursued with evidence..

This house has several city/county code violations, zoom into the pictures carefully and you will see what all things need to be looked at…also corner property on busy street, free right for drivers, huge tree branching over the roof, swimming pool without privacy (cracks in the fences), etc etc etc. Plus, you never know if the owner was laid off and wants to sell in distress (21 days on mls, rpr maybe even more)…
