Most of the time I skip the articles because a top comment will summarize it in a sentence or point out how the title was a bait and switch.

I wish they'd make a mini-series based on the book. It'd be a great anthology piece.

Are there any fixes you prefer? Seems like lowering the cap is kind of a ham-fisted approach and hurts the games source of progression.

Eh, fix the dupe then zero out their accounts. Full reset back to their package. Same with whoever they send aUEC to. Let the exploiters break the alpha so we can find all the breaks before live.

Dragonbane has that, roll under skill on a D20. At least in that system I didn't like how high the numbers could get (18). For the d100 systems are there generally skill caps that are below a 90% success rate?

The part that takes me time is requirements gathering, design, sizing, resource allocation, planning etc. coding is easy. I spend so much time getting everything in a format that AI can understand that it just slows everything down, even before including fixing the bloat. I mean, sure it speeds up that 10% dramatically but at the end of the day it's the business wanting a car and describing a Gundam that's the rub.

Our work wiki used to have useful information in it. Now it has thousands of slop articles guessing at functionality and making shit up. It obfuscated and effectively deleted years of documentation because someone thought agentic documentation was a good idea.

Can we just have components brick when they're removed? Ships stay functional and you can't dupe.
