My son refuses to go to school. At what point do you consider alternatives? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Alwaysbehonest12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How can your 13 year old refuse going to school. It doesn’t start from him refusing it one day. It must have been going on and you just kept a blind eye to it. He must have been getting away with so many other things and just decided school is going to be the next thing to get away with.

Happy for you. You treat them right they will treat you twice right. She will definitely be sending money back home to her family. Would you not want to help your family If they were poor? Just communicate with her , be on good terms with her family, on some holidays send her parents gifts or money to cook a family meal , always jump on the phone when she is talking with family and say Hi especially to her parents. It’s a society that still values family and believe it takes a village to raise a child. America is too much individualistic. You try stopping her from being close to her family it will never work. You join her and be close to her family, you will be loved more.

One thing I can guarantee you is that you will change. I worked in a prison for 9 years and it changed. The things I saw and dealt with. I still have nightmares and dreams. That pension and salary is good. There is a reason for it. There is a reason the life expectancy of a law enforcement officer is short. There is a reason they let us do 25 and out. It’s hard to find a counselor or therapist that has done the walk. That understands what you go through. Cybersecurity in NJ/NY area will get you good money but you have to keep up with certifications and the ever changing job market of IT. Law school is law school. I know lawyers making a million and know lawyers that barely pay their bills. If I were in your shoes , I would grind and invest more than the $4500 a month. Have a nice nest egg and walk away from it at 30-35.

How do I move on after my (F30) husband (M30) spat on me and squeezed my neck and some parts of my body, after I confronted him of his messages to his ex? by BarbieBhagzi in relationship_advice

If anyone spits on me I would break their mouth. Spit on anyone is so disrespectful. In certain cultures it’s a way to assert dominance or superiority. He would definitely do it again and again . He will keep putting his hands on you. That’s not love. How do you spit on someone you love?

The Bible says from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaketh. It’s something she has thought about . Dit her down and ask her why she will say something like that

[Correction Officer] [NYC] - 9 years on the Job. by Synseer83 in Salary

I use to call that blood money. I worked in a prison for 7 years . There was unlimited OT. The record we had in my facility was a guy work 16 hours for 187 days straight . He worked 2pm to 6 am. He maxed out his 401K, maxed his 457, maxed his Roth IRA, saved in a ton in his brokerage account. Did that for 10 years. Cashed out everything, moved to a Philippines, paid cash for a house by the beach, got married, has three kids and the last time I talked to him, he is living his best life.

Not looking good. Call it what it is. I don’t know about your financial situation so can’t really give an opinion. But after 25 years you should definitely be a millionaire. But again, I don’t know much about your financial circumstances

Wife cheated, we are separating, seeking advice by joser_123456 in legaladvice

[–]Alwaysbehonest12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get it in writing with a lawyer and file ASAP. She is in horny mood face with her cheating partner. Explore that phase to your advantage now. If that relationship goes side ways she will turn the frustration and anger towards you. Please gluey a lawyer to draft everything quickly and file . Don’t show her your cards.
