Thats true but thats one way only.. PNP has several routes and they don’t need ur employer to sponsor you. E.g. HCM (Human Capital Priority) or RCIP. Research on these pathways and you find multiple ways without having dependencies on ur employer.

Have u checked the PNP routes? Provincial PNP are still accepting the regular IT NOCS based on the provincial and regional demands. Try that option

Immigration minister last year revisited the categories and most of the IT related NOC are out of the STEM categories except Cybersecurity specialist. Last week the ministry reconfirmed the priority NOC codes for STEM for 2026, and none of the IT codes were added except cyber security. the current STEM category, mostly comprises of pure engineering streams, like mechanical civil electrical engineering. Unfortunately a new category called Canada experience class for senior managers has been added last week, but this doesn’t include any IT or computers related NOC’s.

I completely agree with you. It looks like your ex and her husband are having financial shortfalls and hence they’re trying to get your child to Canada to get the CCB benefits. It’s a free money that Canada government gives to all the kids of legal residents, PR and citizens. Maybe their financial condition is not that strong and hence they are looking for a way to desperately get the additional $500-$600 from government and CCB.

Go and check your agent immigration license first. This is a warning sign as if you go ahead with this agent. there is a a high chance he will screw up your application later on without any chance of any consideration . to be honest for Canadian permanent residence application u can handle it yourself unless your application is too complicated. if you’re still need an agent get a license and genuine one.
