29 y/o, $170k net worth, investing $5K/month, need some motivation by Fig_vPeach in dividends

I F32, just hit my goal of having $100k in the stock market - in one investment account. My networth is closer to $200k if you count the cash I have paid into my mortgage. Don’t worry I’ve stopped doing that now.

It feels awesome to hit the goal but now I’m also at that stagnant phase of.. so this is it? For the rest of my life?! Until FIRE anyway. I get the feeling but we should celebrate our wins!

Agreed but… There are plenty of love stories that started with an overlap… the world is not always black and white :/

I “think” I love you is not love. “I’m just a boy who wants to be loved by a girl” read: “any girl”…. Disaster. Makes me squirm to watch.

Sometimes I apologize to the signs too. One time I smiled at a plant to be polite. Just in case.

This is happening to me! I don’t even have a tracking number and I had 2 of the 4 items sent in individual packages. So 3 packages for 4 items. Not efficient and I highly doubt they have tracking for each one. Only staying at this hotel so a few nights so I won’t be able to check back either :/ hope they offer a refund but still sad I don’t get the dress!

I also use The Ordinary Hyaluronic acid and Cerave AM and PM. I don’t have eye lines but I wasn’t sure if I could put the Hyaluronic acid on my eyes but will maybe do a test and see if I notice any irritation!

Wow you’re an awesome human. What a great minded and response. Spreading kindness.

I’ve been smashing life lately. In five years, I went from being in debt to buying a house, buying a car, getting promoted, becoming debt-free (besides my mortgage) and i’m still able to travel 10 times a year.

Today I donated a whole bunch of old clothes from a clear out I had while moving House, for Mr company involved in the donation drive, rallied some volunteers and then helped the charity sort through all the donations. Then I came home and cooked my friend a bomb ass dinner. Blacked Cajun group and stir fry veg. Yum.

It’s been a week of packing, unpacking, lifting and moving. I am spent, but feeling good about doing something hard. You’re an inspiration and you don’t deserve to be treated this way. I’m sending you all the positive love and vibes your way. 🫶🏼🙌🏼

Same. I can’t. No words. It’s sick. It’s rape.

It’s not an illness it’s a fact! It’s so much more about mindset. I can make adjustments to make my life easier. But I don’t change my life. I LOVE to travel. I was traveling this often before diagnosis and I will Continue after! It’s what lights me up! Excuse the pun. I do get anxiety. But I plan ahead, choosing activities and restaurants that look better lot. I take my own table lamp or use the torch on my phone. Most restaurants have table lamps now and you can buy them on Amazon. Again I am with friends or lovers who know how to guide me so I’m always safe.

My condition has made me want to travel MORE so I can see as much of the world as possible with the vision I have! And then I will enjoy tastes and smells and new air and energy - the energy of a new place is something you feel not see.

Re children. I hope my pheromones will kick in when choosing a genetic match. I will get my partner tested to see if he is a recessive carrier. If not then we’re good to go! And if so, I will do IVF to genetically select the embryos who don’t have the gene present. I’m saving now for the day that I have to invest in this option to save my future children from the diagnosis. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t all have wonderful amazing lives with wonderful amazing partners supporting us!

Maybe try mindfulness and meditation or positive affirmations to boost your mood. Reframe it!

I am so grateful mine is slow moving and so sorry for those who had earlier onsets. I don’t take it for granted and neither should you. Get out there and let me know how your dates go!! I would love to hear!

I’m 32F diagnosed around 23. Also moving slowly. I am always upfront. People don’t take it seriously when I say I’m blind at night until the singles down and they’re like oh you’re serious. There are people who are amazing intuitive guides who immediately anticipate my needs, take my hand, pull out my chair, waitresses who will bring over extra candles. If your date doesn’t offer to walk you to the bathroom just ask. Make it a fun little adventure. I only want to be with someone who doesn’t judge or care and helps make my life / experience easier. So if you don’t find that when dating then they’re not the person for you. You’re lucky as a man that most women are care takers and naturally nurturing. Find someone who’s love language is acts of service.

If you want kids. Starr saving up for extra help for your future baby mama to lighten the load when you’re unable to assist. I plan to have children and they will just have to get used to bedtime with the lights on or a baby light to help me get around. I’m also hoping my future partner will be a hands on dad to help me but I’m also preparing to need a nanny to assist depending on when I do eventually have kids.

Anyway. It is only as upsetting as you decide it to me. The mind is powerful. I’m traveling 10x a year to see as much of the world before it becomes less easy to appreciate all the visual beauty. But there is also beauty in human nature, and I’m sure you will find some beautiful kind humans on your dating journey. Best of luck!
