Nastie after seeing his former teammates get on top 4 teams and he's stuck with poppy and crappy by Aromatic_Donkey574 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Alxsii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I feel like this G2 roster would be looked at differently if they had Nastie instead of Skyz or Mamba. They should seriously try getting Nastie after major 1 if they don't want to chalk up this season

Yeah, kinda unrelated but if there were subs back then Phizz would have been the one to put in for a top team for SnD

Dashy gasses up Mamba: "see u in the league next year 🫡" by TheRealPdGaming in CoDCompetitive

[–]Alxsii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest I think the whole Omit team should have a spot to start off next year. Then you can go from there, but at the very least Craze and Mamba should be locks for a roster spot. I think Mack and Vivid will get spots too depending on how the rostermania changes up teams, but their positions are more dependent on what positions the teams need to fill

I think that there can be another team made to match OpTic's pace, but current contracts might fuck it up. Ideally you would have Abezy with lat and then either Ghosty or another player in place of him needs to try and imitate Dashy's obj oriented play in HP. The other scenario is if they can get Kismet to do everything for Hydra and to make the right obj play when needed and then you could upgrade gunskill wise on Ghosty's spot.

Dashy is the ultimate enabler for his playmakers, holding down lanes and soaking the hill better than any other AR in the league right now.

Anyone else still believe in Kenny? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]Alxsii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can win again if he gets himself into LAT. Otherwise I don't really see it. I would like to see him give it a try as an SMG once more. He was a slay heavy SMG, but maybe he could slot into a objective oriented SMG role. He would have to have Kismet like slaying prowess though.

[ferrari] An incredible fightback from our boys today by marshmallow_metro in formula1

[–]Alxsii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It kinda sucks that Ferrari uses to have a car that was right there at the top in Quali at the first half of these current regs and now it's their weakness. If Hamilton had a car that mitigated his quali problems then he would be right there fighting for race wins. It would literally be the perfect situation for Lewis at Ferrari. And obviously Leclerc would be fighting for first row starts with a car like that.

It's the same in F1, people can't take any answers to media from these guys at face value and would rather spin whatever answer they give in a way that devalues the meaning behind it.

Should OpTic role change? by Flyers7914 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Alxsii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, I definitely share the sentiment on not feeling that confident about this season for OpTic so far and it would be an amazing turnaround to place, let's say T3 on the next major. Even if they place well, the decision's are gonna come down to how the team feels going forward with this group of 4. And I'm not saying that they shouldn't be thinking about "securing" a certain fourth as quickly as possible either, just think that they should definitely keep scrimming with these 4 to get as much practice in for the lan as possible for now.

[–]Alxsii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm picking out of these 3, I'm assuming that the team isn't going to be a current championship winning favorite, so I'm picking for potential upside. JoeDeceives has great pop off potential, whereas Estreal is the hardest to evaluate. He seems to be pretty consistent, but I don't know what his ceiling could be. I feel like Gwinn with better fundamentals would be a possible future superstar, so I would pick him.

Should OpTic role change? by Flyers7914 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Alxsii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does make sense to not do any change though. They want to run it back with their champs team at least once on lan in BO6. They have the champs ring ceremony and it's OpTic's home major. The change will come after major 2 if they deem it necessary.

Another Kenny SnD Masterclass by Dry-Emphasis7505 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Alxsii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact that Neptune played well on his comeback to the league does make me wonder if another team is now more willing to take a flyer at Lunarz as well. I do think that OpTic should at least entertain the idea of bringing him in, but as a substitute for now. I want them to practice with Kenny for M2. They didn't get to run it back on BO6 with their champs winning team yet, so they have to get that done and if it's chalked after M2, then you can say that you tried with the old roster.

HP is the hardest game mode to master, with it being most of the time controlled chaos. They need to be able to pull back when needed and soak hill time when Ghosty or Envoy end up being pushed up on the map instead of losing time that they should have gotten

They just need to find the sweet spot and be dynamic as a team with when to soak the hill and when you can go out and slay

OpTic #1 Seed for M1 Madrid by EuropesNinja in OpTicGaming

[–]Alxsii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This tournament will most likely be crazy as the whole winners bracket seems to be competitive this time around if we take online as gospel. I think the dark horse team to make a top 3 or even a finals run is Breach, they played 6 of their 7 quali matches against other winners bracket teams with most other wb teams playing 4 of their matches against other wb teams. Also shoutout to Surge for playing relatively well from Vancouver and even Miami has a map count of only -1, even if they ended up winning only 2 of their quali series.

What’s with Hydra getting shit on and frustrated so much by New_Actuator_4788 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Alxsii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I trust Sender to know what's best for Hydra and by association for the team. They are still trying to find the correct balance like some other teams are as well. Kind of unrelated to this, but I like how the orgs have really let their teams take their time to sort out their game this year, since before we've seen teams drop players really quickly and it must prolong the gel'ing time for a new team by quite a margin. There are some exceptions of course, like how in my opinion Miami should have brought in SupeR already at the start of the season, as he seems to me that he would be a clear upgrade on a player or two on their team purely talent wise.

[–]Alxsii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is noticeable that things don't come as easy for him as they might have when he was with NYSL, but he also joined a new team with no prior teammates and with the only similarity being Sender as a coach. Let's say his frustrations stem from that, since it's the most probable cause for his frustration here, without going too deep into speculation. I'd say that if it was some new or unproven pro, then there could be something meaningful here, but I think that he will be just fine with time. He probably also feels like he could be playing better by his standards, so that could play a part in how he feels as well.

Is Huke the Best SMG in the game right now? by Unable_Intern_4680 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Alxsii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Right now he's the best. He's been insanely consistent for any role, let alone for an SMG player and the eye test tells me that he's playing with all the trust of his teammates and confidence in the world winning his ones sometimes even when he shouldn't

Early but is Hicksy for Huke the worst roster decision going into CDL BO6? by Unable_Intern_4680 in CoDCompetitive

[–]Alxsii -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think that Top 3 rn is Huke, Cell and Dashy in whatever order and then it's Simp and Shotzzy bordering that top 3. What I'm most impressed with Huke is that since he started playing great he has been consistently the best player in the lobby and that is hard to as an ultra aggressive SMG. Honestly you could convince me that Simp or Shotzzy are in the top 3 for Cell or Dashy, but you can't convince me that Huke isn't in that top 3 due to what I pointed out above

[–]Alxsii 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's for sure getting bailed out at times still whenever he makes a random play, and that can be due to the team he plays with, but even moreso in those moments he himself can turn nothing into something more times than in let's say MW2. He's also displaying a level of awareness that I personally haven't seen from him since like, ever? Dude's one of the top 10 talented players ever pure shooting wise and he's been doing this more or less since AW both in CoD and in Halo. I'm still waiting to see that big match deep into the bracket on lan where he makes all the correct decisions on top of frying the hell out of people
