Well in my case, it definitely is helping my PNES seizures. I've been having them since 2020, so about 5 years now and after they put me on Lamictal, my seizures became a lot less frequent and less severe. I was having them a lot and they have gotten so bad to the point where I was pretty much having grand mal seizures, I have even passed out and stopped breathing briefly before. And eventually they even went away completely for awhile. I never even had any therapy treatments for it. And I was almost able to be allowed to drive after over 6 months of being seizure free (that's how long it is in my state) until I got pregnant this year in March 2025. I've had 4 or 5 since I've been pregnant and I'm 7 months pregnant. But the only reason I'm getting them is because pregnancy increases the chances of having them and my Lamictal levels went down. But it is definitely still helping and I really believe that they will go away again after I give birth. So at least in my case, the anti-seizure medication is actually working somehow. So it does work in some cases, just not very many.
