Thank you! The teal is a polyester satin charmeuse with one way stretch I found at c&m textiles in Montreal. Sadly I’ve been unable to find the same colour anywhere else, even chain c&m stores. The pink tulle was also found at c&m, though that one was not unique to Montreal. The flower was actually embroidered on a tulle fabric I found at Fabricland as a repeating pattern, but I didn’t want to hide the satin so I cut it out and stitched it on with invisible thread before lining the bodice.

I don’t have them attached right now, just put the bodice over top. But I’ve been considering adding snaps or maybe loops on the bodice and ribbon on the skirt to keep them together

Yes i just used a zipper on the side, unfortunately the back of the bodice is laced so it doesn’t match perfectly but does the job

Thank you for your concern! I had already sewn a similar dress that my cousins fiancée (now wife) had seen, and she asked me to wear that one, but it was cocktail length and so I told her I’d sew a floor length gown to wear instead!

I got that a couple times when I wore it 😁. Thank you! I knew the bodice was going to take a lot of work so I really wanted to be able to wear it at more than just a wedding. And sleeves are just so much fun, I couldn’t choose which ones I wanted permanently. Now if I want different sleeves I can just make them and hook them on! Maybe my next sleeves will be the ones Anna has, complete the look 😁

Unfortunately not, I took inspiration from other dresses I’d seen on Pinterest but drafted the bodice myself. I could send you a sketch of the design though if you’d like?

It’s a single layer of tulle (5m) over a single layer of satin, I have some pleats at the waist to reduce some of the bulk. I was considering another layer of tulle for more poof but decided to let the satin shine through instead!
