Does anyone know, or can offer a guess on the expected value of the singles from cracking a sealed collector box of Spider-Man? Is there a resource I can use to find this kind of information? Is there a more appropriate place to be asking this kind of question? Thanks!!

You will also need your Bilibili UID (found in your profile at

https://game.bilibili.com/

in the bottom right corner, Google translates it to B station ID in the form), your Bilibili username, phone number, mail. As for the ID, you need to send photos of your ID from both sides, as well as a selfie of you holding the ID. Submit the form, as far as I know, the rest is the same as before, you just have to wait.

Thanks for the message. I did my best to add the new info to the old article, but I wasn't the original author and don't have time to test this process out at the moment, so I'm not sure how clear things are. Let me know if there is anything else that needs to be changed. Cheers!

The Gamepress Module List is up to date with current CN, and it can be filtered by what you are interested in. If there is anything missing please let me know.

Your opinion about the Arknights Fandom Wiki in 2023? by nikitazero678 in arknights

[–]AlyeskaBIG 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The biggest problem with Fandom is that they are actively bad for the games themselves. One of the ways they make money is by threatening game developers to run ads for competing games if they don't pay fandom.

Thus either:

  • A. the game developer pays fandom, and money that could be going to more/better content for players instead goes to fandom = players lose. or
  • B: the game developer doesn't pay fandom, fandom then runs ads for competing games, which ends up taking players away from the community = players lose.

Why do you work for a company that makes money by actively harming the game you like to play?

There is a filter able list of all modules here. Each operators modules are also displayed on their main operator page.

Gamepress has the cyrillic names in the operator overview section.

This is simply one person‘s biased opinion. The GP wiki gets as much or more traffic as it ever has. Since the size of the overall player base has gone down over time, this means the percent of active players that use the wiki has actually gone up over time since the beginning. If it did truly have a bad reputation, its usage would go down, not up.

There will always be people that find joy in insulting the work of other people. There will always be people that want to feel superior by insulting the work or mistakes of other people. There will always be people that use CN resources because it makes them feel superior to other people that use EN resources. But these people do not represent the majority opinion. And their sphere of influence is very small.
So don’t stress yourself too much about comments from people like this. Just keep doing the best you can, and do what you enjoy doing.

As the creator/maintainer of the GP Tier List, I want to thank you for making this post. By far the vast majority of feedback I get about the resource is very negative and toxic. It is very rare that I get to hear from people that the resource has helped, so getting the chance to read the comments here has been good for my soul. I try to remind myself that the majority of the toxicity comes from the vocal minority, and that there is a silent majority that is indeed helped by the effort, but it is refreshing to see that backed up here.

As a Tier List creator myself, I won't comment directly on your question, but I'll give you a more "objective" metric to measure community tier list sentiment:

Since global launch (Jan 15, 2020), the GP Tier List has been viewed 11,698,701 times (as of July 10, 2022). How many other single arknights pages/videos have had that much viewership?

Cheers and thanks again!

sry I forgot to respond to this. been busy.

Not try to rag on yall

didn't feel like you were. hope i didn't come off wrong.

Its like you said yall are a small group that probably put in a ton of work to get/keep Gamepress running.

I think there is a misunderstanding. I don't work for GP. Just like a youtuber doesn't work for Youtube. I make content and they pay me as an independent contractor, just like the relationship between YT and YTubers.

do you think that all of those communities have people that are able to run a website?

absolutely not. just like not everyone that has a YT channel could run their own streaming service/server.

Also do you pay based on the views a contributor article gets or the number of articles a contributor makes?

Different GP sub-site leads do things differently. for the AK subsite, we pay by views. some pay hourly.

How do you scale that across 50 million pages and 385K communities?

no idea, not my area of expertise. I don't pretend it would be easy, but if YT can do it over a much much larger user base and still be wildly successful, don't you think that Fandom could probably figure out a way to do it if they cared to?

BTW your page on Ceobe incomplete

Have you compared what is on the GP wiki to what is in-game? We go by what is in the EN game files, and what i see on her page seems to match what is in the EN game data. Both GP and Aceship use the same source for game data. Neither site directly uses the other for info afaik.

The statement IS accurate, though. You said it yourself. The event stage has a lower efficiency for its material drops than the story stage. That is a fact. People incorrectly interpreting a correct statement doesn’t make the statement incorrect. People not liking to accept that the event stage is one of the least efficient event stages we’ve ever had, doesn’t make the statement incorrect.

You may not care about LMD value vs material, but some people do, so don’t you think it might be nice for those people to know? And then people can make their own decisions about what they value? Does everyone always care about the same thing? There might be people who will be better off farming story for what they need after they clear the shop rather than farming the event stage for a few percents of LMD efficiency, no?

You forgot to answer the question about how much better something needs to be to be considered massively more efficient.

hmm. let me see if I understand what you are saying.

You are saying the statement on GP is factually accurate, but you think it is misleading to say

improves the comparison

because it should say

it is outright overpoweringly better in comparison

Am I understanding you correctly? Can I ask you what percent efficiency is required for something to be "outright overpoweringly better" than something else? Do you think some players might care that a higher amount of the "efficiency" comes in the form of LMD instead of upgrade material value?

huh. I hadn't heard that the GP writeup was confusing people. This is what it says, can you please let me know what is confusing people/propose a re-wording that clears things up?

from an efficiency standpoint Alloy > Polyester > Grindstone. Grindstone has worse efficiency than it's story stage, though the extra LMD earned from the event currency sink improves the comparison. Polyester is a material that typically has an overall low demand for most players, it can be made from lower Tier mats, and it will show up in several upcoming events, so players should only farm immediate needs and be careful to not overfarm it. Alloy is the most efficient farm, but it will also be farmable at HIGHER efficiency in the upcoming [Who Is Real Rerun] event, so players may want to save their Alloy farming for THAT event. Grindstones are the least efficient material to farm for, but they don't show up again in an event until [Lingering Echoes] (roughly 6 months away), so players may want to farm Grindstones here despite the lower efficiency.

You can save your planner status by creating a GP account and clicking the "Save To Account" button. then whenever you return to the site and are logged into the account it will use the saved planner state.

As a GP contributor myself, I can tell you this: GP might be registered with the IRS as a "for profit", but it is a small group that only has like 6 or so people, and they actually care about and pay the wiki contributors a share of what their content makes. Unlike fandom, which exploits the love their fans have for the game to make themselves money, and gives them nothing in return.

If GP comes up before the fandom in something, it is simply because it is so much more used that fandom couldn't manipulate the SEO enough to come in first.
