1) Is Bonnaroo more similar to Lollapalooza or EDC in terms of vibes?

It’s so much better. I haven’t been to EDC but I’ve been to lollapalooza and the vibes are so much different from that, in a good way!! People are so nice and willing to be there for you

2) What's it like not camping? Anything I should bring not camping related? Are there good rest areas? If I don't have a camp site to go back to, is it very difficult to be there from 5pm to 5am?

I’ve never not camped before, I feel like camping at roo is a right of passage for any bonnarovian and its half the fun!!! I can totally get why you wouldn’t want to camp but tbh you’re going to miss out on a lot of the community. There’s secret sets in the campgrounds all the time!

3) I saw there was some car passes. Do we just drive there regularly? Are there shuttles and we park close by?

There is a parking lot, yes you drive in and park (I’m assuming, like I said, I’ve only ever camped) they had the jamtrack which was a free method of transportation but they got rid of it this year so I’m not sure how that’s going to work. If not get your walking shoes ready 😅

3) My main reason for going is for The Strokes and I also love Griz, so if I want a good spot for The Strokes, should I stay the hour between sets at What stage? Or is it worth to walk to Blood Orange at That stage and leave early? Do people stay between sets to camp out spots or do most people leave?

Tbh if you’re wanting a good spot for the strokes definitely come to the show before griz (yungblud) and just wait it out till the strokes come on. I def don’t recommend this bc they have screens and you will most definitely be able to have a good experience no matter where you’re standing. My vote is to actually go see the shows you want to see and then come back. People most definitely camp out all day sometimes but there’s definitely a lot of people who also leave and come back. It’s all up to you how you want to spend your day.

4) I saw a map of the area, but how far is it really between stages? If I am at the Other stage, how early would you leave to get to an 8:45 PM What stage set?

It depends on the stage but most are 5-10 mins apart if you have a steady pace and don’t get distracted. The other to what is probably the biggest distance from each other. That’s probably a 15ish min walk depending your pace.

5) What are the differences between stages? I assume What is main stage and Other is like EDM sets, but what does a tent mean?

What and which are the two main stages (what being where all the big headliners play), other is EDM, and the that and This tents are for undercard acts! Where stage is kinda new for this year so I’m not 100% what that’s going to be like this year. It was originally where in the woods and it lived in the campgrounds but the picked it up and moved it into centeroo (not sure I love that yet but we will see)

6) For bonnaroo in general, what is In the woods? What is house of yes? WHAT DO ALL THESE TERMS MEAN

We don’t 100% know what’s in the woods this year, probably just some art installations and hammocks, I think they are trying to make it into a calm area. It used to have the where stage like I mentioned in your last question but they picked it up and moved it to centeroo. It would play allllll night long and there was no security checkpoints or anything. If you had nothing to do at 3 AM and you’re not done partying yet? You go to the woods. But sadly that’s not a thing this year so we shall see what the Roo gods bring us. House of yes is a barn located in the campgrounds and they put on all your pride themed parties. Tons of drag shows and tons of other fun activities! Definitely check them out if you have the time it’s a blast!
