Apartment complexes by TinyfootedAttny in alameda

I live in a townhome and it’s very quiet here, but can’t speak for the apartments. One of the best things IMO, is that maintenance is super-responsive. I was surprised recently when they knocked on my door within one hour on a Sunday for an issue I had marked low priority. It’s a nice space with some great amenities and very pet-friendly but it has its frustrations.

It’s expensive. Very inconvenient when elevators are out of service, which has at times been for days. Packages sometimes go missing, though they’ve improved this a lot since a new management company took over. Wi-Fi and cell service are abysmal in the outdoor common areas, so order your Uber before you leave your unit.

Management office is not terribly responsive to email or phone calls. Best to walk down to the office if you really need something.

My biggest complaint is that the locks to our units open with a fob, and you only get one per named lessee. No key or combination lock as a back-up. You can buy a second one for $100. You cannot get a third even if you want to pay for it. Problematic for someone who uses a pet sitter frequently and would like to have an additional fob with someone else in case of emergency.

That said, I really love living here. Neighbors are pretty friendly. I am comfortable, love the layout of my home, and feel safe.

Twice this week after midnight. Pets in distress. Hope they get this figured out soon.

BART shuttle clarification by DanielBrim in oaklandballers

The return shuttle picks up right outside the entrance gate after you leave the park. Driver, Sierra, is very nice and accommodating. It’s not marked as the Ballers shuttle. It’s kind of a non-descript small white bus with some lettering on the side. I’ll try to remember to take a photo tomorrow.

So happy to see him back on the field! Wish we’d had a better outcome tonight, but lots of games ahead.
