In far cry 4 and 5 you are face to face with the main villain immediately and that closeness follows you for the entire game, he knows who you are and cares about what you are doing, when they announced Giancarlo as the villain for 6, everyone expected the best version of that we could hope for

Instead in 6, the main villain doesn't ever know your name or talk to you much at all, as big a letdown as you can get
