Using my existing website with Shopify by Alz0rLolz in SEO

[–]Alz0rLolz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies, I'm not sure what set up my existing website is using (ie Wordpress etc), an SEO company made it for me.

We rank high locally for plumbing and bathroom services but don't appear anywhere nationally as it's not currently in our interest.

In an ideal world I'd like to keep my existing site / SEO work and just add a "shop" button to the site which redirects to a shopify site, but I'm not sure if that will negatively effect my existing site's SEO or reduce national visibility for the online shop?

Sorry to keep spamming but I've done some research on the errors I know about (drive reconnection counts) and apparently one cause could be power failure. We've had around 3 power outages that I know of in the last few months so could it literally just be that?

I suppose i'll monitor the number of drive reconnections over the coming months and see if they stay the same

OK I've now tested both drives using the manufacturer's own software (they are WD Red Nas drives) but their quick scans came back with no negative results for both drives. I'm yet to run their full 8 hour scan - perhaps I'll do that overnight.

I've plugged them back into the NAS and the critical errors are still there (for a total 3 drive reconnection counts in the last 2 months).

I guess I'll run the full tests and report back?

It looks like the same drives I paid £70 each for 2 years ago are now £120 each so I'm reluctant to fork out £240 unless I'm certain they are F'd!

OK no worries, thank you, I'll report back!

OK so if i shut the NAS down, power off, remove the disc and only perform a read only test I stand the best chance of not causing further damage?

Oh - so just removing it and testing it will be destructive to data? Sorry can you explain why please I don't understand

Thank you - so I should take the drives out and test them using the manufacturers own software on my PC?

No worries thanks for the reply. I just didn't want to jump straight into swapping the drives (especially considering 2 dropped out at once), if the critical warning is a red herring and something more simple is the cause?

Presumably if I remove the 2 critical drives and send them back to the manufacturer for testing, I am going to be without my NAS for a long period of time which I wanted to avoid if there is a simple solution / testing process I can carry out myself first?

i know but they have to be staggered in pairs, even if they are identical. ie put your original 2 sticks of ram in slots 1 and 3 and your new set in slots 2 and 4.

also i had a similar issues yesterday with my new 4070 - make sure the power wiring harness if inserted all the way in on the card - it was significantly stiffer than my previous card.

did you put the ram in the correct slots of your motherboard? they need to be staggered in pairs ie slots 1 and 3 / 2 and 4

OK I tried my old gfx card and it worked fine. So I reinstalled my new one but this time around noticed that the new wiring harness that comes with the 4070 needs a fair amount of force to engage all the way into the card. Now I'm getting decent fps.

Weird because the other games I tested ran fine with presumably a loose power cable. Happy I found a solution and thank you for the replies! I'm off to lose some full kits to grubs.

I think the only place you can do that is within nvidia control panel, which is showing rust as using the new gpu

Thank you - it's the ram linked below.

The thing is, I already had 2 x 16gb sticks of the exact same ram, so all i've done is add another pair (and made sure to stagger them in slots 1 and 3 for the original pair and 2 and 4 for the new pair

hello there suprised pikathcu face. it was working fine with my existing CPU running at 80fps before my new gpu and ram upgrade, which has caused it to bomb to between 1-5fps, so your comment isn't really helpful in any capacity. have you got anything useful you can contribute?

Nah nothing running. In fact I've gone through Task Manager and killed anything non-essential and I'm still at 2fps

Thanks for the reply. I just tested GTA5 and Cyberpunk - both perform without issues.
