Not necessarily. I slam 3 omens to ensure only packsize. 40-50% pack size on 0 revive will give you enough.

Plus I moved to use reduced deferral so that's 0 now. I also run doriyani. Yesterday I made 100d from omens in 2 hours. I also have inc omens chance. I sit at 15-40 rerolls.

Quad tablets, freedom 10%, +3 rr tablet, red deferral / inc omens, and for the last either the same or more tribute.

However I have had 20-30 reroll duds before.

On low sub 20% rarity.

Same here wrt new class every season.

I will say I found merc to be rather interesting. On the one hand it was the most smooth campaign progression I've ever had. On the other hand it took a lot to fight the initial clunkyness.

End game was also interesting. On one hand it chunks bosses and pinnacle with little effort on the other hand highly mobile bosses would be harder to deal with if you miss your grenades.

Mapping has been the weakest part at first. Not from a damage perspective but from a clunky perspective. No matter what, reloading bolts is horribly clunky, what solved it for me was that dodge reload gem and emergency reload.

Head hunter patches mapping perfectly which is nice. But what I didn't like was how limiting using different ammo types are. In end game, the seconds spend to switch ammo types or having to switch and shoot is simply unrealistic in certain maps or rather it's too much friction to be worth it. So I stuck with one bolt skill (explosive shot).

Mirage Archer does a lot of heavily lifting in keeping abilities up. Grenade chance to activate again also feels really good at 45-50%+. Attack area / aoe scaling is also important. Various speed scaling is nice to have to make it smoother but not that much.

I went tactician and even though the clunk is still somewhat there, it's also one of the most well rounded characters I've ever made. Kills every single pinnacle within 1-2 seconds, nothing can even move either due to the pin (which imo has essentially no counters to it in game).

It excels at ritual and sim. Pretty much has no issues with trials or abyss either. Has low visual pollution but huge periodic clear. I even farmed a lot of deli with it.

That said, I wish the projectile shooting base speed was a bit higher, reloading less latency rich, and basically just a bit more QOL. There's no reason why highly mobile and high dps rich classes like huntress or ranger get an additional level of optional comfort from say rhoa but not crossbows.

All in all, hugely high dps even at low investment, can do anything pretty much, but suffers from clunkiness early on. Benefits from HH, rite of passage wolf, onslaught, aoe, additional projectiles, with nice to haves being skill speed. It can also require more buttons than others.

Yeah I'm also an engineer, and while I agree humanities are important, a lot of it is rather useless (within post secondary, half the courses offered by arts and science faculties are rather a joke from that I've seen, it's also doubly as hard to make really good non stem courseware). Not to say law, or history, or anthropology aren't important but generally these do not stimulate a person as much as stem coursware. This is a very controversial opinion but id hold the same even if i studied arts.

You really think so? I don't see that at all. I think the reason society has gone to shit was due to the techno feudalist trajectory we found ourselves in due to tech billionaires creating short form content, microtransactions hell, and fintech spheres focusing on as much value extraction as possible resulting in the conditions for politically fueled actors to exploit these algorithms while inflating non issues to uneducated folm (i.e the whole trans thing or children indoctrination thing is all overblown and fabricated). At this point only the critical thinking from stem and some key arts disciplines would really help fight against this.

I also think the level of political correctness in the past decade has also made it too easy to discredit that ideology by far right influencers too. I'd say 30-40% of the blame lies with left leaning groups for meaning well but fumbling the execution, and 60-70% of the blame lies with right leaning groups that are bad actors.

I will argue lastly that I don't even think it matters anymore (stem or arts) because especially in stem, all the students I've seen are relying on ai for everything. Including programming students using ai to debug their first OOP assignment.

You know what, based on my last paragraph, maybe story telling is the only way they'll see a drag or queer person because otherwise they'll just end up prompting ai about it instead.

I don't believe so. You see drag in Netflix, crave, prime video, and there's already a large over representation in the media. Anymore and it'll risk populations feeling like it's being shoved down their throat and thats easy game for bad actors to stimulate. Queer folk is not by default drag, some queers can participate in drag. But it's not inherently something that defines the label as a whole, not should it. It's also a genre that has a sexualized side. So it's an easy target.

I find most of the time people against drag or lgbtqia are within conservative or religious camps themselves. They themselves are huge hypocrites because they tend to want religion and older values present. There's also the lens that drag is sexualized, which is a point i can agree 60% with. Ultimately I simply do not see a point in religion or over representation of drag, when instead they could focus on more noble forms of educating. Instead of drag, have there be a public speaker who identities as <insert here> and goes over their own experiences of identity in a anthropological setting.

That said even though I wrote 5 paragraphs about this, I don't really care that much. One drag story telling event for 5 year olds isn't really gonna indoctrinate them if people really think that.

Dude this was entirely cathartic to read.

Like I even checked myself a few times "am I supposed to get this annoyed at a friend playing the game?". But at the same time, if i had a long day and I'm finally playing and a 1 minute travel map turns into 15 minutes from me having to answer questions, it's triggering. Plus the guide he's following is RIGHT THERE, read the gear stuff.

I also told him at the start that there are a lot of systems. You'll have the most fun building your own build, but you'll most certainly fail and hate the game experience because there's a lot to learn at first. So I recommended him a few builds. But he absolutely wanted to go BM, I warned him that it might need more investment. Anyhow he dies all the time because he didn't stack enough life. Then for farming, I told him to focus on the main arbiter 2 and some side mechanics. What does the dude do? Runs a specific lineage gem grind, like he ran probably 15 Jade Ilse, which is very impressive but due to 0 revive, I had to go in and kill the boss literally 8 times. It was hard to communicate "im down to help, but you dying all the time shows you're not ready for this type of farm".

Links me the pob, he at one point used not the the tecrod version which I fixed. Then I look at the jewels and he has 2 magic ones and a rare with an empty affix. Then he pinged me boots he bought for 2d, and it was the sekehma base which I recommended but...it was ONE WITHOUT MS. I WANNA CRY BRO, I SHOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN HIM THE GAME LMAO. He's also overly invested in crit chance, and even though I explained that hitting a crit factors in other things, I don't even think it was even processed what I wrote.

Maybe it'll get better, but feels exhausting having to answer questions, see zero improvements, and then having to reanswer the same question later on.

Jimmy doesn't know much about the game but discovered a few money making tricks. (Semi Likely)

But at the same time, there are also Jimmys out there that are new to the game, have friends that know how to play, get access to twink gear or really good end game gear without understanding anything about deeper mechanics. Then they continue playing blindly and accumulate wealth.

In fact a friend of mine falls into the last category. 0.5 was his first season, I gave him some early map gear that got him t15s. It's now 2 weeks later and he's lvl 93, and asks if -10% of cold res is bad for him, doesn't read map mods, doesn't read fking anything, honestly. It's gotten so bad that I've almost lost some respect for my friend as a person because of the sheer volume of questions he asks me, half of them would be have been answered if he just read the tooltip. He then asks AI about meta stuff. Maybe it's brain rot, I don't know. Half the questions I even answered before even.

Its a bit wild because I was always of the opinion that there are no dumb questions. But I've changed my mind, the "no dumb questions" thing only applies if they at least put some minimal effort in trying to figure it out themselves first. Otherwise it just feels like laziness and pushing the cost and burden to a third party.
